Liberal thoughts on why Pres. Trump will win reelection:

Charlie Sykes - Editor and Chief of @colton's favorite never-trump site the Bulwark. He is a conservative but would rather have a liberal democrat win than Trump or even a Republican challenger. Here are his pleas to the Democrats to beat Pres. Trump:

Fortunately for me, political leaders are not my moral compass. As for Trump: Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

I understand we are not necessarily voting for a moral leader. But there’s still a point where’s it’s to much. He’s denigrated women, minorities, foreign nations, allies... at what point does your moral compass start to make you concerned? that he hasn’t reached that for you, or that it doesn’t even enter the equation, speaks poorly of your moral compass.

Let me interpret: "Character and morality do not matter"

I might be mistaken, but I think Republicans were saying the same thing about the misdeeds and morality of Hillary and Bill Clinton.

I get that you liberals, anti-trumpers, whatever you call yourselves, want to shame those that disagree with you. It just isn't going to work. Let's stick to the issues and the actual challenges that are facing the country right now. Let's not ignore the terrible policies that most of the democratic presidential candidates want to implement in our country. Let's not ignore the crisis on the border that just 6 months ago was mocked by the left as not a crisis. Let's focus on the 125 or so judges that have been put into place that do not want to "fundamentally change" our country and believe in the Constitution.

This video is a great representation of how the left views the United States of America. Everything is debunked beautifully.

Lmfao. His actions directly oppose “country first”. You cannot attack its people, and ideals, and pretend to support the country.

Smfh

The thought that the President of the United States has to bend over while being attacked is just silly. Go through some old footage of Obama @Stoked. See if he attacked "its people, and ideals, and pretend to support the country." I'll give you a preview, HE DID "attack its people, and ideals, and pretend to support the country."

Geez, looking at the OP. The political reality is that the leading Democratic candidates -- Biden, Sanders, Warren, Harris and possibly Buttigieg -- aren't strong enough to beat Trump. In order for Trump to lose in 2020, Trump would have to find a way to beat himself. Dems keep waiting and hoping that he'll self destruct, but it hasn't happened.

Trump isn't a role model. He's a boorish, straight-talking, banker, fratguy bully. He's never apologized for it. But conservatives still support him for a number of things he's doing, including pushing for border security, promoting the economy, pushing back on trade negotiations with China, supporting conservative judges, stopping federal funding for abortions, and a number of other conservative policies.

Actually, the fact that Trump isn't a polished politician leads to people believing he's sincere about what he says. People interpret Trump's brash demeanor as unvarnished honesty. They eat it up.

Democrats keep throwing coordinated tantrums over Trump's manner of speaking and personal behavior, but there hasn't been enough substance to their criticisms to make much difference. It comes across as prolonged sour grapes over losing the election in 2016.

I love the sound of common sense. This place could use a lot more of it...

Yes all have sinned, but there’s different degrees to this and it’s up to each person to decide where to draw the line in this matter. Trump went way overboard with his recent racist tweets and speech, and I will no longer ever understand supporting a racist scumbag like he’s just proven to be.

******** to everything you just said.

I disagree with @Zombie and don’t consider him a piece of ****. I consider trump, by his own words one.

Also, lmfao at me being a liberal. I openly pushback on the liberal posters and the trump die hard equally.

For me I ts simple. Trump is a piece of **** as a person. He’s a liar, sexist, nationalistically and racially bigoted and very possibly racist. He’s openly sexually assaulted women. He is a scumbag.

And those throwing their support behind him by either defending said behavior or ignoring it have me questioning their own personal moral compass. Those people are not “Nazis” and who knows if they’re racists or sexists. But I do question their morals.

But sure, pretend it’s just because we disagree. Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess.

I didn't call you a liberal. I also said anti-trumpers. And I would guess from your anger and bitterness that you fall in that group right?

What ideals did he attack? Can you provide evidence to support this claim?

I disagree with Obama on a lot, but attacking American ideals? That seems odd.

I’m not bitter or angry. You place fat to much emphasis on emotional typing. And it’s not even policy based for me in this context.

It’s that this guy is literal scum. He’s a piece of ****. There’s no way around that. It’s not the same as opposing Obama or Bush.

At what point is to far for you? At what point does his lack or morality push you into no longer supporting him?

Attacking someone physically? Rape? Murder?

Lying, justice interference and sexual assault don’t seem to do it. Where that line for you or does it even exist?
