This is a huge peeve of mine, but it's gotten me thinking and frankly the left's current pain lust doesn't bother me anywhere close to as much as the right's during Obama. That self righteousness was especially obnoxious. "Bring on the pain, we deserve it!" "That's the only way they'll learn [that I'm right and they're wrong/immoral/whatever]".

I guess I can handle never trumpers pining for a recession a lot easier. Especially since I find their reasons for this impending recession to be delirious or comical. The tarrifs! The inverted curve! The stimulus fading! Consumer debt (a special lol).

The right had pain lust during Obama? I don't remember it at all. I recall the right anxious for his term to end, but not "Bring on the pain, we deserve it!" Can you give an actual example of that?

You honestly think that meme was popular because the media didn't like Obama? Dude, there are obviously different possible interpretations because I'm certain it meant different things to different people, but your interpretation is a real stretch.


edit: I just noticed that you were responding to a claim that the media was 93 negative on Obama. I think that's hyperbole, but there is no question that the media painted Obama more positively than any other recent president.
