Got me. Oh well. Guess Stern is going to have to push through a trade involving a "non-retired" assistant coach to return the Lakers to their rightful place in the NBA hierarchy.

^^^ On the other hand, now that Dr. Buss is dead, maybe the NBA is content with having that "other" LA team be the shining star in Hollywood. Lakers are for nearly-dead celebrities. Clippers are for the now generation.
Kobe was drafted #13 by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996, not the Lakers. He was later traded for Vlade.

Shoot. But he never played for another team though. Oh yeah, I remember that crap about he wouldn't play for anyone but the lakers and they had to trade him. He did screw a team! And 14 year old girls.
