I want them to have their own reality show. I honestly think it would be the best television in the history of the medium. Anyone else love them?

It is astonishing how massive/committed a following he has built up. He's got a positive message though. Do you think he's like Patrick Swayze's character in Donnie Darko?
Mega-churches and their charismatic superstar preachers creep me out. It's not based on anything other than how absolutely phony they seem to me.

As far as mega church leaders are concerned, you can do a lot worse than Joel Osteen. He doesn't step on the necks of non-believers (not that much anyway) and while he's a religious leader, all his teachings have a secular ring to them - he preaches in front of a globe instead of a religious symbol. My understanding is he doesn't exercise his organization's tax exemption status as a religious entity. Not sure how I feel about that, but I can't say it's a bad thing.
