Kevin mchale if i recall he is out in minny. He has helped big al develop in the past.

He probably makes 10X more and has 10X more free time as an analyst.

Although we'd have to be the first franchise in history to have two AC's that were ex-GM's
 
Hell, bring back Big Mark. He could school Fez on how to become a defensive enforcer like nobody's business. Mark Eaton had zero talent and became an all-star through force of will. And, the fans would love it!

Believe it or not, I support this.

But why would someone's who has been a GM, and a Head Coach, come to Utah to be an assistant?

Eaton would get absolutely destroyed in today's NBA. The age of zero talent white stiffs has long since passed.
 
Combine Fez's superior athletics with Eaton's work ethic and defensive smarts, and you'd have a whopper of a valuable player. Next to Malone, I can't think of anyone else who has a better Jazz pedigree for teaching big men how to stand their ground, body up, block shots, and alter the opponent's offensive sets detrimentally for the opponent. Eaton was a "big white stiff" who was all-defensive and also Defensive Player of the Year in the era of Olojuwon, Ewing, older Abdul-Jabar, and others.
 
I have remarked how I think the last assistant should be a big man's coach. Mchale could do that, but as has been said the chances he would agree to be an assistant in Utah is slim to none unless we paid him mega money.

Not what the coaches have been saying this year and do you think he is dumber than the average NBA player? English is his 2nd language you know.

Smart as in he knows the Periodic Table of Elements by heart or has a high basketball IQ?

I have no idea about the former; but a pretty good idea about the latter.
