-Brandon Knight's .901 points per possession overall ranks 15th, but he's hurt by a low amount of transition possessions and poor efficiency on those possessions. Knight's 0.896 PPP in the halfcourt ranks a slightly better 13th.

Knight hurts himself in the halfcourt by having one of the higher turnover percentages (16.9%) and one of the lower free-throw drawing percentages (10.0%), which negates his above average adjusted field goal percentage of 50.9%.

Breaking down his possession distribution, Knight had an above average number of spot-ups (20.5% of the time), an average number of isolations (17.1% of the time), and the third lowest percentage of pick-and-rolls (14.3% of the time). Knight actually performed the best relative to his peers in isolations, boasting a sixth-best 0.975 PPP.

Knight didn't attack the basket at a high rate, taking shots around the basket on just 20% of his halfcourt possessions, third lowest of the group. His 1.294 PPS on these attempts bodes well for him, though, and he could find more attempts to do this in the more open NBA.

Knight comes out in the middle of the pack in jump shot distribution and efficiency, not standing out in any area, with his lack of efficiency being somewhat surprising given the high number of three-pointers he attempts.

These articles don't have a ton to say about Knight, and it's very mixed when it does (and that's being nice). If you look at all of the tables, Knight doesn't stand out at all in any category. Now, I know there's more to the game than numbers, but this is giving me a lot of pause about drafting Knight so high.

Adding to the puzzle that the Jazz have nothing to gain whatsoever by leaking that Knight is their guy (or at least NOT leaking that Kanter is), and I'm confused. And a little concerned.

If I'm not mistaken, he improved throughout the year and Cal used him in more PnR situations later in the year (to which he responded favorably). This gives me heart, not that he will be a superstar, but that he stands a good chance of being a highly serviceable offensive player. Plus, he has the tools to be a good defender.

One other thing:
I get the sense that Knight will enter the league with a chip on his shoulder since he will not be part of Cal's PGs-drafted-number-one fraternity. This should only add fuel to his fire to succeed, which I think he has already. Add this to the good head on his shoulders and I think you've got a solid prospect. Get him and Biyombo.

No, don't draft him @ 3. Reggie Jackson has the "tools" to be at least as good of a gamble at a much later pick. Wouldn't even need the 12 to grab Jackson.

I am so against Knight at 3. I don't see much upside and a see a lot of risk. And it doesn't take an amazing PG to win a championship. It takes a solid one. And the 3rd pick should have potential to be amazing. And Knight doesn't possess anything to show that he will become anything close to that.
Everything is average for him. And his athleticism is also average. I don't see the potential. Huge risk.

I love Reggie Jackson a lot. But I care more about NOT drafting Knight or Walker more than I care about what picks are after that. I will honestly stop watching the draft if Knight is picked 3rd. Because I honestly don't care what goes on with this team after we draft Knight. We will be wasting our pick on him.
And I don't have tons of motivation or bias towards another player in the draft.
I like Kanter, Williams, Irving, Biyombo etc etc. List goes on.
Knght just doesn't show me anything that proves he will be solid or an all-star in this league.

Knights athleticism is not average. He will be one of the fastest players in the league. Athletic ability isn't all about how high you can jump and how awesome your dunks are.

Not to mention his work ethic and the fact he was a 2 time Gatorade Player of The Year, which only Oden and James have done so far.

Dwill Shhh.....those facts don't matter. Reggie can dunk sweet and he's a sleeper so we have to like him more. Get with the program.
