With the recent deals and rumors the point guard market has shifted and we will be the beneficiaries.

What happened?

- Fultz in Philly means they don't pony up the big bucks for Lowry, Hill, or Mills
- Indiana moving George means rebuild (most likely) and Teague is now going to be looking for a new home.
- Phoenix or Sacramento will take Fox which takes them out of the PG market and maybe puts Bledsoe in the market.

This will push Hill's market down and any trades made will also have a depressed value. This is huge for us... where does Hill go for a bigger offer than we will give him?

We can use assets to sure up other positions or just low ball Minnesota/Phoenix for Rubio and Bledsoe.

What is the most Teague and Hill get? Where do they get it from?

What about Bryce Cotton? I see he is playing for Atlanta's summer league team and he was the Australian league's MVP after scoring 45 in their league championship game. We know what he can and can't do and is a good locker room guy.

Yeah the dominos that started to fall with the Fultz trade is bad news for Hill, and good news for us. It takes 76ers out of the Point Guard market.

You made a good point about Teague looking for a new home with Paul George leaving, Indiana just isn't going to pony up for Teague when they've already started asking for draft picks for Paul George.

The picture's still incomplete until after the draft, but the sky's clearing for us to re-sign Hill, which is GREAT for us.

One thing that could turn this around the other way though is Chris Paul going to the Spurs.... meaning the Clippers will need a new point guard.

But I'm hearing rumblings that the Clippers could hit the reset button with Jerry West now joining their front office... that's the most interesting storyline for me in the offseason, how they deal with Chris Paul and Blake.

On the flipside, if Paul stays in LA, would the Spurs turn around and pick up George Hill? He's a perfect fit with Kawhi.

We're perhaps fortunate he didn't resign yet because his toe is going to bring down his value... considering he couldn't suit when it mattered most.

I love Hill, I'll buy his auto card when/if he resigns in Utah. He made a huge difference to our squad, call it magic or what, when he played we were an elite team at times.

Yall made some good points about the PG market

They'd have to manipulate their cap space to make that happen... they might prefer Mills at 15 per to Hill at 20 per. If they wanted to do a sign and trade I'd be game for that.

The point is the money will dry up quick in the PG market now. Two near max offers have left the market. I can't see Sacramento not getting a PG with 5 and 10.

Guys like Collison will have to be cheaper too... If Toronto re-signs Lowry I don't see anyone giving up a ton for Joseph and they will need to move salary.

Unless we can get Rubio for AB and #30 or Bledsoe for Favs and 24 or 30 or the OKC pick... then I'd wait on PG and we will be fine. Use assets to get Love or some other established piece to help convince hayward to stay.

The only match-up that will matter for the Spurs will be against the Warriors. Kawhi can take care of KD. Klay will be MIA again, most likely. That leaves Step, and I think they'll need a defensive PG to stop Steph and stand on the perimeter and hit 3's. Seems to me Hill fits the bill perfectly. They need to strike while the iron's hot with Kawhi and Aldridge in their prime, I think Hill is a move they'll need to make to stay relevant in the West.

If Hill does go to the Spurs, we need to act quickly and snatch Teague IMO.

They'd have to waive Mills bird rights... we could do a sign and trade for them and get Mills.

We won't have space to sign a FA unless Hayward leaves... in which case I'd pass on Teague... maybe unless he was a value deal at that point.

What about Teague's bro? Once was a 1st round pick and would be cheap.

Anyone would be crazy to give Hill 20 million a year with his toe issue. I never saw this great defender even when he was healthy.
Since the market is full the price should be lower for Hill. I am not against bringing him back but only at the right price.

Let's take a look around the league

Portland - They are stacked with McCollum and Lilliard. I wouldn't be surprised to see one moved to reduce the tax pay out.
Sacramento - I expect them to draft a pg and since they are on another rebuild wont be huge players and Collison said he wouldn't mind coming back
GSW - Nope have curry but Livingston is a free agent
Lakers - they should draft Ball and rumors say Russell might be on the market
Clippers - With cp3 gone they might be looking at a rebuild
Phoenix - has been rumored a fox destination but tatum is also a good option. rumor has them moving bledsoe but they still have knight and Uliss
Jazz - to many question marks around exum at this point
Wolves - Rubio should be on the market but his shooting woes will keep the price down. They have Dunn, Lavine and Tyus Jones. They can afford to move rubio just to dump salary
OKC - Westbrook
Houston - Beverly is the perfect PG next to harden.
Spurs - They are in the market with parker down and Mills a free agent. They just dont have a lot of money to spend.
Dallas - Could be in the market for a pg as Ferrell is ok but not a starter but they are in position to get maybe smith or frank N
New Orleans - They are in a win now position and Holiday is a free agent. CP3 could return to the team that drafted him. They will try to be players in the market
Memphis - they are invested in conely
Denver - Mudiay and his inability to shoot 3s might put him on the market and Denver might be looking to get a PG and become competitive with this team
Chicago - IF they move butler and then they will go into a rebuild but a lot of question market at this time in chicago
Detroit - Rumors had them looking to trade Jackson. their PG situation is a mess
Milwaukee - is not set as dellevedova is more a back up they might be players
Indiana - I see them on a complete rebuild not the PG has said he wants to be a laker
Cleveland - has irving
Raptors - I could see lowry going back but they need a PG
Boston - Has IT and will be looking to build other areas
NY - They are looking at PGs in the draft so not sure how they will be in the market
Brooklyn - will probably be one of the bigger players in FA this summer. They have Lin and Dinwiddie but that is not a lot.
Charlotte - has Walker
Atlanta - has schoeder
Philly - will have Faultz
Washington - has Wall
Miami - Dragic
Orlando - Augustin and Payton.
