You had me all the way up until the bolded word.I would like to offer my friends on Jazzfanz another option.
1. I too am a professional writer. Well, semi-professional. If I exchange money with the editor, sometimes my articles get printed. Sometimes, more unsavory favors are expected, but writers need to put food on the table, and pride will only get in the way.
2. I have been a Jazz Fan since March, 2015, and I can spell all the names of the players.
3. I will be able to answer any question you have by bringing everything back to the fact that Bryce Cotton is the greatest player ever to wear a Jazz uniform. I have developed many offensive sets in which it will be Bryce vs. 5 guys. That's right, one on five. Bryce is extremely versatile and there will be many games where nobody else will leave the bench. Nobody will be more rested come the playoffs then our beloved Jazz. Remember, you heard it here first.
Please stay on topic and ask Jazz related questions only. We need his valuable time and research skills spent on Jazz topics. Thanks!Dear Greg.

You guys are a tough crowd. I agree with Hack. The guy is looking for some questions for his mailbag. I really do not care about his credentials. Unless it is coming from DL, Snider, or someone high in the organization I will view it as someone's opinion. I love listening to Locke. He has a lot of inside connection, but to me all he talks about is his opinion. Some I agree with and learn from, some I don't.K.
Got it. Next time you jump on Jazzfanz and post your opinion I would like to start seeing some credentials first. Starting with this topic. Where are your credentials? You can't just be answering questions all willy nilly around here.
Isn't it essentially the same thing? Greg claims he can answer questions. You force your answers on everyone assuming you are qualified to answer questions. At least he's being polite about it.

I asked the guys credentials in a teasing way and it sort of spun out of control from there. That wasn't my intent, but oh well. Hopefully he has thick enough skin to take it. If he doesn't then my advice is that a career as a writer is not for him.Im with ya

Fair enough.I asked the guys credentials in a teasing way and it sort of spun out of control from there. That wasn't my intent, but oh well. Hopefully he has thick enough skin to take it. If he doesn't then my advice is that a career as a writer is not for him.
This. The whole thing started out in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way. It was a legitimate, but ultimately unimportant, objection. It's unfortunate that a few decided to take it to the next level.
The terrifyingly inappropriate 1-2-3 answer was essentially: his job is writing about the Jazz, he's willing and able to research any questions asked, and he's a Jazz fan of thirty years. In fairness, Greg took it the next level with his initial 1-2-3 answer. That was maybe beyond "next level".
