mindlessness is in the eye of the beholder.

I think most of the best posters have been marginalized or eliminated,
by a dozen or so vigilantes, who write a lot of mindless posts themselves,
who harass , gang up on , and then report posters they don't like or disagree with,
and go around repping each others bogus reputations to the moon for their boring posts.

northeast - you have been the single biggest cryer in the history of message boards this past week. I'm not trying to run you off, either, just saying that your threads/posts are so damn whiny that I'm embarrassed for you.
 
I remember chitown as being one of the most interesting posters,
and Troutbums and kennykyle seem to be bullying and harassing in this instance.
 
I still don't understand how they ran him off. They seem happy about him leaving (he is pretty annoying), but they aren't the ones who give infractions or ban people. You're crying just because they don't like someone?
 
I don't mind Chitown, he could be entertaining...dumb, but entertaining. Regardless, he got infractions from the mods, not from Trout or those guys: therefore, he ran himself off.

Thriller is just a bitch.

I deduce that Chitown was harassed into fights, and reported, possibly by same the people who harrassed him.
You don't get banned if everyone is civil to you, JMO.
You don't get banned unless you have enemies that go out of their way to report you.
Mods do not go looking for infractions, they respond to reports.

So no, Chitown did not run himself off, that is inaccurate.

That's not entirely accurate. I received an infraction last week that was not reported, but 'caught' by the mods. (was a silly harmless alt account that I never even posted with)
 
That's all speculation. I'm a total *** to everyone, and I only have one infraction. I must have gotten into a flame war with half of the board, and yet, I can't say I actually dislike anyone (I didn't like Craig, but now he's gone). And I don't think I've ever reported anyone. You're just a crybaby.

If Chitown disagreed with you he couldn't simply say, "I disagree with you and here's why." He would berate you, call you names and insult your intelligence. Chitown created his own issues with other posters and in a sense, did run himself off.

He certainly dug his own grave. And I'm one of if not the most lenient mods here. The infractions he got were well deserved. Not every thing that was reported against him was worthy, but he would get into a mood (whether it was a drunken mood or just a mood I'm not sure) where he'd fire off some really offensive stuff. His last offense was a bit stunning.
