First off, I haven't seen Quin get that mad since he has been coach of the Jazz. I don't think I have missed a single game.
Second, if there is any interest by the league to boost the performance of any team... the Lakers and now would be it. The Lakers are looking to get Lebron and an LA/BronBron connection is good for biz. Follow the money my friends. And if you don't believe that the NBA has ever conspired to mess with the results in the league then you are kidding yourselves. See Youtube, lottery, knicks pick ewing and look at the 'bent lottery card' and the deep stressed sigh. Sheesh. Tampering has existed. It's good for business.
Finally, my theory is that officials have opinions on teams and players that create bias during games. There were moments in the game that I was feeling like we were on the wrong end of calls, but any team without an all star will face that. The Jazz were the brunt of bad calls 2 of the last 3 years. This year I fear will make it 3 of 4 imho. Don't recall? Look back and 2014 and 2015 before Gordon was an all star. Think about Dennis Lindsey sending in the report to the league at the end of 2015. We finally got respect from officials in 2016 and then... we lost Gordon. I fear we are back to 2014/2015 status folks. Hopefully our defense establishes itself and we get a reputation among the officials or we will be the brunt of a lot of crap calls.
We agree on the bias and the all-star treatment. That will always be the case and we enjoyed the benefits during the Stockton and Malone era. As for tampering, I don't doubt that it has happened. However, if it is the norm and happens on an ongoing basis, it is the same as saying the few teams who will make the finals are predetermined. If I believed that I would not watch another game. And I dont think it is good for the leagues. So I guess you can seesh me again. I guess WWE has fans but not my cup of tea and I think it eliminates fans with any degree of intelligence
