We got Kane Fitzgeral'd

I have two major foul/no-call plays in the late game that changed the momentum entirely:

1. Embiid clearly fouls Gobert on a layup attempt that leads to a transition 3 for Jimmy Butler https://stats.nba.com/events/?flag=1&GameID=0021800218&GameEventID=646&Season=2018-19&title=MISS Gobert 7' Cutting Layup Shot&sct=plot

This one I'm 100% certain on. I have no idea how the refs missed something this blatant. This is a potential 5 point swing (but let's not kid ourselves, probably just 4 point swing cuz Rudy would split his trip at best). Other key factor: This would have been Embiid's 5th foul.

2. Embiid commits an offensive foul with his off-arm on Crowder, get's an And-1 instead https://stats.nba.com/events/?flag=1&GameID=0021800218&GameEventID=663&Season=2018-19&title=Crowder S.FOUL (P1.T2) (L.Richardson)&sct=plot

This one I'm less certain on, but I'm certain it shouldn't have been a foul on Crowder. Crowder goes to help off Simmons, he times Embiid's move pretty well and he is there to contest with verticality. The contact is 100% created by Embiid's off-arm. This would have been Embiid's 5th foul also (or 6th if both are called correctly)

Would have been assessed a tech on the stare down imo if he didn’t already have one. I really think Rudy should have shoved him to force the call... but with Kane who knows what he’d have come up with.

Rudy’s very first foul was one of the most puzzling calls I’ve seen. Just running up the court and someone shoved him... he exaggerates the contact and gets called for a foul... it made no sense.

There was another call when Rubio gathered a ball that I think there was contact and Ricky tried to sell it. Then someone poked ball from behind.

Ehh, I'm not going to complain about early calls. It's just these were so obvious and had such big momentum swings, especially that first one I posted.

I didn’t get a replay from the broadcast but it looked like a hatchet job. The first foul was significant because Rudy picked up 2 in the first. Favs was really good so it may have been a blessing in disguise.
 
This is an embarassing excuse.

You lost the game because the whole team shot 4/22 from 3s, not because of 1 dubious call from the ref.

Mitchell was the main culprit with 13/35 fgs and 1/11 3pt.
The team also shot 21/37 from FT.

If you shoot this poorly you don't deserve to win a game of basketball, simple as that.

Fouls... free throws...

What we needed to win this game was a little set shot buford action from the free throw line. 58%!?!?!?!?! Pathetic. 4 out of 20somethin from the 3 for a whopping 18%!?!?!?!?! Piss poor.

This loss is all about making or missing open, easy shots. Crowder missed at least 2 layups. Exum, bricky ricky, Gobert, favors, and mitchell all missed layups. Really!?!?!?!

Yes, the refs missed a call or two but we lost this game on our own tonight. Nuff said.

I mean, this was the most critical junction of the game. They went from a 4 point lead with the Jazz surging to the Sixer's taking momentum.

These plays called correctly would have taken 5 points off the board of the Sixer's and potentiality added two for Utah.
 
People who are overreacting to this, please point out where I said this was the reason the Jazz lost.

There is no single reason any game is lost. I never said this was the reason they lost, I just said it changed the momentum of the game.

The fact is these are two missed calls in critical moments of the game and they are clearly bad calls.

It wouldn't be a critical point in the game if they hit their free throws. Stop trying to blame the refs for the game being thrown when it's the jazz's own fault for losing. You make yourself sound like a crybaby

I'm a crybaby for pointing out two obvious missed calls? And again, please point out where I blame the refs for the loss. All I said was these missed calls resulted in a momentum swing in the game.

And guess what? If both teams hit all their FT's, the Jazz still lose by two points.
