The return of the mythical big man

Across the various threads I've started to see allusions to acquiring a big via trade (Booz and AK). This puts us back into what were previously very contentious issues.

Who is this big man?

our new pick Udoh of course.

Are you suggesting that we will TRADE for the pick that brings us Udoh?
If we can get a wing like Babbitt or George and Udoh in this draft, and then swing a Boozer for Beasley trade, then we will have had the best summer in the league.

DWill/Price/Randle (with 2nd-round pick)
Matthews/CJ/Korver (?)
AK/Babbit or George/CJ
Millsap/Beasley/Memo
Udoh/Fes/Memo

This team would be perhaps the best transition offense in the NBA

....maybe Al Jefferson? The Jazz tend to like players that they should have drafted.

Seriously though, if the Jazz aren't going to get anything from AK playingwise, they should get him out the way.

Umm Udoh is barely big enough to play power forward he would get destroyed as a center.

So, what did I need to do in order to make this thread a bit spicier?

As the draft draws nearer I get more and more keen on the idea of selecting a wing player that can create matchup problems off of his own dribble... essentially creating and propagating a flaw in the defense (a la DWill) that our flex offense can take advantage of. Obviously being able to do this at two different points of the offense with two elite athletes would be a tremendous advantage. Guys like this include Turner, Johnson, Aminu, George, Henry, and Babbitt (I think 2 of Aminu, George, and Henry will be available at #9... I've never been too excited about Babbitt).

Obviously the Jazz also need a big man, but outside of Monroe and Cousins I'm not too excited about any prospect at C. Thus, back to the original question in the post: Who might we be able to acquire with our other assets (Boozer S&T, Kirilenko, KK2, Tomic, Grizz pick, any of our future picks, plus CJ might be expendable--and attractive--if we were to draft another wing)?

Draft Babbitt in the 1st...very athletic wing with size who can shoot off the curl, from downtown and from the line. Draft Pittman in the 2nd. A bigger Big Baby with very good size to play the 4 or 5 who has a ton of upside. I love his football player mentality too. We could use that. Bring in Jeff Foote if he goes undrafted.

I like your ideas...

Besides the fact that Beasley is absolutely horrible.

Miami offered NJ Beasley for Keyon Dooling, and New Jeresy turned them down.

Michael Beasley? Really?

The LMAO part is Udoh and Babbit being part of "the best summer in the league". Udoh is out of the league and Babbit will also be in a year or two.

I like the fact that you've selectively removed Paul George from the same statement. Got some dishonest axe to grind? Should we line up the posts from other guys who liked Udoh and Babbitt? There were several.
