Boston has been rumored to have wanted to move up in the draft to get WCS.

Sacramento is bringing in Cameron Payne for a private workout and reportedly he is in contention to be picked at #6.

Utah can help out both of these teams in a three-way trade. The deal would look like this:

Jazz trade: #12, #54

Jazz receive: Avery Bradley

Celtics trade: Avery Bradley, #16, #45

Celtics receive: #6, #54

Kings trade: #6

Kings receive: #12, #16, #45

This trade just makes too much sense not to happen, imo. The Jazz get a player who is a proven lock down defender and he shot 37.3% from three on 552 attempts in the past two years. The Celtics get the guy they want at #6 (WCS), plus they have four picks in the draft as it is, why not trade some of them to actually get the player you want. The Kings only have one pick in the draft, they move down to #12 to get the guy they want (Payne), plus get another first round plus another pick later in the draft to get some depth on the team.

You could obviously tweak the trade a little bit to make it better, but the Jazz would still have #42 and could probably get a late-first for it if they added some cash to the deal similar to what DL did in 2013 to get Gobert (#46 + cash for #27).

Bradley averaged 13.9 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 1.8 APG, and 1.1 SPG last year. His contract is through 2017-18 for an average of 8 million a year. Would be the perfect 6th man on this team and he is still only 24.

Exum/Burke/Cotton
Burks/Bradley/Millsap
Hayward/Hood/Ingles
Favors/Booker/Evans
Gobert/Pleiss

Use #42 to try and move up to get a late first-rounder to get a power forward or center to add to the rotation.

I think this is a good trade if you're an Avery Bradley fan...

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of his, so I'd rather take a punt on guys like Myles Turner as I think he has a higher upside & potential.

Nice creative trade idea though one of the better ones floating around :)

No thanks.

Why would we want Avery Bradley stealing minutes from Rodney Hood and Alec Burks?

We have a lot of defense in our front court and point guard. We could use a shooter at the SG spot (Hood) a lot more than another defender. I'm always a defense first supporter, but in this case, I think we need more offense. We have plenty of defense.

The same reason we want Mason Plumlee stealing minutes from Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert.

37.3% on 552 attempts is a good shooter, no? Plus averaging 14.4 PPG over the last two years, he can score.

Lol so you are opposed to drafting a wing player in this draft then?

It's not the same.

If we draft a wing they are going to know their place and will be behind Burks and Hood. They won't start getting angry until a couple years. We have to consider that or we'll have another Kanter situation. If you bring in Bradley he's going to expect to play, and so are Hood, Burks, Hayward, Ingles, and Burke. We'll eventually lose someone by pissing them off.

We could use a backup center a lot more. Use the pick for that imo

If you like Bradley so much then trade Alec Burks for him. I don't know enough about Bradley or Burks to say if that's a good trade, but if you like him that much, that's the way to go. You have to make room for him to keep people happy.

It's a real dilemma. You can't just brush it aside and pretend it doesn't exist.

There's some original thought in the OP, good job. However, I don't think Sacto can bank on Payne making it to 12. He could get taken by the Heat and Pacers who both could use a PG.

I hear ya, but honestly I could care less if Ingles or Burke get mad about not playing. If Kaminsky or Turner are there take them, but there is a total of 144 minutes to go around at point guard, shooting guard, and small forward.

I wouldn't do that deal. I think Burks is a starter and Bradley is a 6th man. I understand what you are saying.

Thank you for bringing this up, it's one thing I thought of for something that could go wrong.

Look at what Phoenix did. They thought hey we'll just go get Isaiah Thomas, and everything will be great. We'll it wasnt. It pissed off Goran Dragic, and now he's gone.

Do we know if Burks is healthy and ready enough to play starter minutes? What about Exum? Will we feel good about giving him 30+ minutes a game? I think Quin could figure something out in this situation. It's a purely speculation trade, the news has been slow these past couple of days and I thought of it.

That might have been as much about Bledsoe actually. IT could have been a back-up plan with the assumption that Dragic would want a max deal and a guaranteed starting job. PHX decided to throw money at Bledsoe instead.

I think with Exum we have to be going into the season expecting to give him 30 minutes a game. The Jazz franchise can't afford to give up on high draft picks so early like other franchises do. Nor should we. We invested in him, now we have to ride it out and play him or trade him.

I'd rather take a chance on Oubre's potential than take Bradley to be fair. Also, Kings are in a serious need of talent, I don't see them trading down for a role player and a couple of picks.

I agree actually.

Meh... The things they really screwed up were trading the lakers pick for BK and drafting ennis into a major logjam. They got a pick out of boston for the IT deal and got two first rounders for dragic who is about to get max deal and I think we've seen his best basketball. The sign in was curious but I'm not sure it was a failure... Don't think phx was going anywhere.
