Boston has been rumored to have wanted to move up in the draft to get WCS.
Sacramento is bringing in Cameron Payne for a private workout and reportedly he is in contention to be picked at #6.
Utah can help out both of these teams in a three-way trade. The deal would look like this:
Jazz trade: #12, #54
Jazz receive: Avery Bradley
Celtics trade: Avery Bradley, #16, #45
Celtics receive: #6, #54
Kings trade: #6
Kings receive: #12, #16, #45
This trade just makes too much sense not to happen, imo. The Jazz get a player who is a proven lock down defender and he shot 37.3% from three on 552 attempts in the past two years. The Celtics get the guy they want at #6 (WCS), plus they have four picks in the draft as it is, why not trade some of them to actually get the player you want. The Kings only have one pick in the draft, they move down to #12 to get the guy they want (Payne), plus get another first round plus another pick later in the draft to get some depth on the team.
You could obviously tweak the trade a little bit to make it better, but the Jazz would still have #42 and could probably get a late-first for it if they added some cash to the deal similar to what DL did in 2013 to get Gobert (#46 + cash for #27).
Bradley averaged 13.9 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 1.8 APG, and 1.1 SPG last year. His contract is through 2017-18 for an average of 8 million a year. Would be the perfect 6th man on this team and he is still only 24.
Exum/Burke/Cotton
Burks/Bradley/Millsap
Hayward/Hood/Ingles
Favors/Booker/Evans
Gobert/Pleiss
Use #42 to try and move up to get a late first-rounder to get a power forward or center to add to the rotation.
