Brandon Davies/Henry Sims starting big men for 76'ers. What?
Scored 105 despite shooting very poorly from deep. Got to the FT line on the road.
Regular season needs to get here already so I can know if I can actually be excited or not.
Hayward going to average 2+ SPG this year?
I'm pretty damn excited (probably the most since Deron's rookie year), but I do have that slight worry in the back in my head that this is a mirage.
I'm pretty damn excited (probably the most since Deron's rookie year), but I do have that slight worry in the back in my head that this is a mirage, only because it's happening all in pre-season.
Still, it's hard not to see at least some, if not much, of this translating over to the regular season.
It may sound corny, but if anything - this preseason will give our guys confidence that hopefully translates to how they play/compete in the regular season. Our guys looked defeated before they stepped on the court with Corbin. Perhaps if this is all a mirage and they lose their confidence quickly, then we'll be in for a long season with growing pains.
I have a feeling we're more for real than anyone could have expected as recent as a month ago. I think we'll win between 30-35 with a chance of being even better.
Corbin should have tried/thought of thatOur starting lineup is looking like a starting lineup comprised of all lottery picks, like it should.
Our schedule is pretty damn brutal to start off though, so that momentum from preseason we have can quickly fade.
Corbin should have tried/thought of that
Don't we face plenty of those teams on the back end of back-to-backs? If we can get some wins against those teams, in that scenario, then it could parlay this momentum into full-blown confidence.
