What's new

This gets me excited for when the Jazz Finally Play again! :D:D

Yeah, that's pretty cool. I can picture Hayward and Favors developing a pretty dynamic two-man game. Favors is going to draw enough attention that it's also going to free up Kanter for a lot of rebounds and put-backs.

Gotta get over my man crush on Al.

I know Favors is the future, he sure has the talent. I just wish there was a better feel for how mins would be distributed. I guess competition is good, and trade assets are good too, but i hate to lose any of our bigs, i like them all.

Really the only chance of keeping them all is if Millsap figures out how to play the 3. With Kirilinko (likely) gone, there will be time there, and some teams are using larger threes. But still, what about Memo?

Jazz Bigs from tallest down under contract:

Memo (vet and former all star)
Kanter (aren't you supposed to start the third pick right away?)
Al (he's Big Al, he started last year right? and got a lot of points)
Favors (consensus future of the team, just ask sports talk radio)
Milsap (he's earned it, we know because he said so)
Hayward (hey, he plays the 3 right? We all love him, but Milsap will be taking his mins, and Burks should be at the 2 if he is anywhere as good as he looks)

Point is, that's six players that ALL deserve to start at one of three positions for one reason or another.

Very nice. I watched the Hayward mix too and was just as impressed. He has great court vision and control. It is going to be fun to watch him and Favors develop together. Throw in Burks, if he pans out, and you will get a dangerous threesome. Kanter would just be the icing on the cake.

For being so young and 'offensively raw', he really has nice instincts as to how to protect the ball while going to the rim.

Favors is truly a gifted athlete. From practically standing still he leaves defenders flatfooted when he effortlessly elevates over them. Impressive!!
LOL; no such thing as too many bigs; someone is sure to get in foul trouble most every game. As long as they are mature enough to deal with coming off the bench and not starting, we'll be fine. PLENTY of minutes to go around...
