What's new

This guy needs to be ouuuuuuuuuuuuuut

Corbin seriously needs to give Favors more time. 12 minutes?? I'm sick of seeing Jefferson and Milsap.
I'm glad he gave Hayward minutes though. Hayward did an amazing job at Durant.

Its your only hope. Chances are slim with a 3 ball attempt, zero with a 2 point play.

and here I thought Obi Wan was our only hope

Keep doin what you are doin, Ty, cuz it is working well. Keep playing two bigs together who will not or cannot defend. Keep playing the vets big minutes because, well, because they are vets.

As the season sours, Ty seems to be going more and more to the vets, with diminishing returns. Will he keep going this way? Does he have the vision or guts to change if things do not improve? Stay tuned.

I swear to god, this is the worst coach I have ever seen.

Surprised that no one has mentioned the biggest change in TyCo since he was promoted to head coach. His wardrobe has improved 100 percent!! He looks the part now. I am so glad (sarcasam). Easily the best dressed Jazz coach in Utah Jazz history.

Wondering about the setup of the offense as well these days. Specifically, I do not see plays run for Hayward to score. He just seems like he is generally nailed to the floor making the entry pass to Big Slow. Why not more Harpring curls for him? That seems like a shot he is made for. How about more PNRs with him? Seems like getting him some shots early to get him going would help the offense quite a bit.

Devin Harris?

Ya I totally agree, he needs to be out. Ronnie Price could net us more than 2 points and 4 assists while playing worthless defenses.

Ideas for Corbin

This is not a fire Corbin thread because I don't think he should be fired and I really like him. He is a rookie head coach and there are a few things I'd like him to do.

1. Play Burks more. The kid has earned more minutes than he has been getting

2. Throw out the substitution rule book. Just play the hot hand. If Millsap or Jefferson or anyone for that matter are hot leave them in and let them play. If they are not hot you do have options.

3. Understand CJ a little bit better. CJ reminds me of Vinny the Microwave from Detroit. He's either hot or he's not. I don't ever recall CJ shooting his way out of a slump. Play him and if he makes his first couple shots then leave him in. If he misses them pull him out and leave him on the bench because he isn't going to get better and he is just going to continue shooting. I'd say give him three shots and make your decision, more playing time or bench time.

4. Use your timeouts. Jerry Sloan never used timeouts but he also had Ricky Green, John Stockton and Deron Williams as the floor generals. We have young guys. Even our Vets are young. Last night in the third quarter when the games was getting away from us and couple of time-outs would have helped in my opinion.

5. Green light Kanter and Favors and run plays for them. Look Kanter is raw and needs to develop. I'd say green light Kanter and tell him to shoot from outside. I think he has abilities we haven't seen at all.

6. Bench Jefferson for not passing out of double and triple teams.

7. Tell Hayward you want him aggressive and bench him for being passive. Passive hurts just as much as too aggressive. You have to teach Hayward to be more aggressive by taking time away from him when he is passive.
