What I am saying is that Kanter's summer development was essentially a bust because his shoulder rehab kept him from training the way he did in previous summers. So he has neither the strength he demonstrated his rookie year, nor the quickness he demonstrated last year.
Why would a shoulder injury prevent one from working out the legs? That's where explosiveness comes from. A shoulder injury would prevent him from working out his upper body and from performing certain lower body exercises. However, I've never seen anyone lose their lower body strength because of a shoulder injury.
I know it's blasphemy to ever question our young players because they're perfect and Corbin is Satan, but, maybe Enes didn't workout the way he should have? Perhaps, over the summer, he enjoyed America too much?
