Timberwolves are strongly considering taking Enes Kanter

It's pretty clear that the Wolves do not really want to take Williams at #2. Kanter is a better fit for them. Even if the Cavs take Williams at #1, the Wolves will likely try to trade Irving or take Kanter at #2. This being the case, the Wolves really should make a deal with the Jazz to swap 2 and 3, assuming Kanter isn't taken #1 by the Cavs. That way the Wolves get a good player that suits them and a little extra from the Jazz.

Also, I think it could be 50-50 that the player who drops to #3 is Irving, rather than Williams. The Cavs could still take Williams #1 and Knight #4.

Just curious: They talk about this being a weak draft. Where would Williams be projected if all of the expected players were still in the draft?

Personally I think he'd still be in the 2-3 range. I'd still see the top tier as Kyrie Irving, Derrick Williams, and Harrison Barnes with guys like Jared Sullinger, Enes Kanter, Brandon Knight, Perry Jones as second tier.

I'd trade 3 and 12 for Irving .. so Irving and anyone. I just see ZERO chance of this happening, none.

If you were Cleveland and you couldn't trade the 4th pick, would you rather want Williams/Knight or Irving/Vesely or Irving/wait on Valanciunas? If Cleveland is really high on Williams I could easily see this happening.

If some crazy situation pops up and Irving isn't taken 1, I bet teams would trade up to get Irving at 2. I would trade up to 2 to get him for sure

If for some crazy reason Irving isn't taken #1, unless if we trade up to the #2 slot, there is no way that we get him. Minnesota is looking to trade badly and teams will give up a lot to get Irving IMO. I just don't see us landing him.

We also have to realize that with the draft being tomorrow, teams are literally just throwing crap out to the media to throw everybody off. I don't believe much of what is being said, I mean yesterday Pau Gasol was gonna get traded for Kevin Love and the #2, I'm just gonna wait until the draft and not worry right now.

If that does happen, we have the best chance of moving up to #2, Everyone else would try and lowball Minnesota knowing that there's no way they're keeping Irving with Rubio and all the flak Kahn's gotten about drafting PG's.

Yeah, only Harrison Barnes and maybe Perry Jones would move into the top 5. I doubt Jared Sullinger would get any interest, maybe from the Cavs at 4 just for the hometown hero effect.

I think that we should do everything possible to get the #2 pick from Minny. #12+Millsap would be fair in my opnion.
Then we could have the #2 and #3. Draft both Williams and Knight which would give us a great lineup of Knight, Hayward, Williams, Favors and Al.
