His stats are good, but take yesterday for example...he didn't seem to make that much of an impact. I really like him, and think he is a good player, but he's a complementary player. You can't build around him, IMO.

Adding the mid-range J is HUGE. He's still not a particularly good man defender, and he can't set a screen to save his life, but he's been one of three Jazz players who've come to play in each of the first two games (along with Booker and Burks). Solid starter.

I don't understand why Kanter and Favors are so bad at setting screens. They've been playing professional basketball for 4 years.

I agree, wonder if he worked at it on his own or if that is Snyder's influence.

Favors is my favorite player on the team. He's consistently productive, and he is a great person off the court.

There, happy?

Yes!

This place needs to embrace the improvements and progress instead of crying and moaning all the time about everything not perfect yet.

It's like a bunch of hormonal teenagers around here.

Favors has been the best player on the team so far imo

Should just compare stats from last year since career average is skewed by the lack of minutes in the first 3 years.

Favors is a player that is actually displaying positive growth. Let him get used to being a 20/10 guy, and his attitude will be the franchise player we need.

Unlike Hayward, and his regression.

Get used to? For him to get used to it, he has to do it first.

We would add so much value to Favors if we could pair him with another big who could shoot and play defense. Both of those qualities would get magnified through Favors' game by giving him space and allowing him to execute a consistent defensive philosophy.

Chandler Parsons is going to play plenty of 4 this year... I'd have taken him and his contract in a second if he can play the 4. ****.

I agree that his numbers improvement has been magnified by increased minutes. I haven't been very much impressed by his offensive game, and his rebounding could be better. Brendon Wright was totally outplaying him last night when he was in the game, and he's a bench player. Favors has been very good at times, but also very inconsistent. He needs to be dominant to live up to his potential.
