It doesn't help that our two #3 picks play the same position, or that Hayward can't play sf so the 9 &12 pick play the same position too.

Doesn't get easier for the jazz....Wednesday in Memphis. Grizzlies are 7-2 in March, and have been resting since Saturdays 30 pt beating of the 76ers.

Hopefully Lucas isn't suspended for the game.

No doubt the absence of JLIII is going to cause us to lose that game. But he'll be back in time for the "must-win" games against Orlando and Detroit.

If the nba really wants to punish Lucas then they shouldn't suspend him. They should make him start for this train wreck. I've been critical of Burke and Hayward. But my goodness, the lack of offensive structure and defensive strategy makes things impossible for anyone to succeed. I'm not sure if Malone in his prime could average more than 20 pts with this pee wee offense.

The game was over even though there was still time on the clock, and the kids wanted me to read to them so I turned the game off and missed JLIii vs Garcia real time.

The replay clips shows some disappointing scenes. Despondent jazz players not even noticing a teammate who just got punked and is about to get crushed by a much bigger opponent or some random rocket fan who is inexplicably on the court.

This team could use some mean.

he could start for many teams. and how is he overpaid? he made 5 mil last year, 5.2 mil this year. he will be making 14.8 mil next year. so he ain't overpaid yet. and he has gotten better every time i see him. if he plays for us and we give him 38 min, he will avg 22/7.5 easily. and only reason why he is backing up beverly is that beverly has emerged as top 3-4 pg defender. they need beverly to slow down curry, cp3, parker, and westbrook. it's a great tactical move. Lin will be their ginobli. just look at his usage. anytime he gets over 30 min, he avg near 20pts.

and it's really hard to avg enough points when you play in such a stacked team. this rockets team is deep as hell. asik is better than any of our bigs(including favors, favors better O, but asik much better D) but he can't put up numbers because he doesn't even avg 20min.

if corbin would have coached malone stockton.
malone would turn into jefferson.
karlfense. atleats he would get his 20 points.
stock on the other hand would be turned into a spotup shooter and avg about 4-5 assist

I'm not overly concerned about our talent level. We competed pretty well in the middle months, with a joke of a roster. The difference now is a combination of factors. Good Teams are pushing harder now with the playoffs in sight. Pair that with the jazz being long eliminated, playing for a coach who clearly won't be back, who doesn't connect with the players, and has made some of them feel 'shafted' in the past, clearly our guys have just given up. Once they get a fresh start with a different system in place, their vigor will return and we will at minimum be competitive. It's the moves in the off season that will determine if we will be more than that.

jope, I think you are being overly optimistic that Corbin is the only thing wrong with this team. Maybe some of our guys are just not as good as we think. Possibly?
