Ok, let's pretend for a second that he doesn't want to come to the Jazz, doesn't want to fight for playing time against obviously talented bigs. All we need to do is find a team that likes him and get a verbal agreement from Tomic that he would come over if we traded him to that team for a first round pick or something like that. Sure, he won't play for us, but that doesn't' mean that he cant be an asset in some way.

He has quite a bit of versatile talent offensively. I'm sure he could carve himself a niche. He doesn't need to have KG defense if he's gonna be a bench big.

That's just it. He's a bit player in the NBA. Why play for a pittance when he can earn a better living where he is? He could have come over for the NBA minimum but turned around and re-upped for several more years.

I'd much rather have Gobert, Favors, Kanter and whoever the Jazz draft or sign as a fourth big than Tomic.
