The tough thing is that their gameplan was essentially to bog things up, slow things down. It worked for a long time, but now that they are down 10, it's hard to switch modes.

Yes.. but the idea is to keep the game close and try to pull out a close one. It was the right call for sure. (though I HATE it... I love watching teams really duel it out)

No doubt. Plus they jumped out nicely early. I wouldn't have faulted them if they would've brought out a tent on the court at that point and camped out for 30 seconds of every shot clock. Though, certainly Arizona is a good rebounding/defensive team, so however much we want to discredit/credit Utah for dictating pace, is probably overstating their role in doing exactly that.
 
Not sure that's relevant here.

The BYU approach to Arizona would've been to go in there guns blazing with the #3 scorer in the country and hope he scored 50. And if he had an off night, they would've lost by 30 because 100% of their team can't play defense.
