Tony Jones No Longer Covers Utah Jazz

Just heard on Locked On from David Locke that Tony Jones is moving out of Utah as the Athletic no longer feels a need to have a full time reporter covering the Jazz.

This sucks.

I would guess because it most likely will be a few years until we are relevant again. Since we didn`t get the #1 pick this year, we will probably be in the wilderness for a couple of years.

Several years of no road map and no visible plan other than not being relevant. It has been pretty obvious to national media and a few select local media that we have been a rudderless ship. Maybe Austin will change that but getting rid of most of the proven talent we had for not much in return still means we are a ways out from anyone caring what happens in SLC.

Think they have been slowly phasing teams out. For the last two years Tony covered the Jazz and Denver after they let go of their Denver person.
