Top 10 All Time NBA Busts

Not really fair to call a guy a bust just because he was drafted before some other player that was a lot better than him. Is Sam Perkins a bust because he was picking in front of Barkley?

Interesting.

Marvin Williams, Jay Williams, Martell Webster, Dajuan Wagner (remember, he was going to be the next AI), Big Country Reeves, Ron Mercer, T-mac (for someone so talke about, you'd think that he would have won a playoff series in his career or something), and Kirk Snyder all come to mind...

I really have a hard time calling players like Oden and Bowie "busts", simply because they were injured. If that's the case, where's Len Bias? Jay Williams?

Olowokandi is the biggest bust, in my opinion. A guy who was questionable anyway, and lived down to every bad expectation, even exceeding some of them. Adam Morrison is a close second. Hasheem Thabeet, third.

I don't agree with Bradley or Araujo being on the list. Bradley was a disappointment and didn't live up to being the #2 pick, but he had a productive career. If Araujo, who was a reach, is a bust, where is Robert Traylor?

terrible list. Bradley was a half-decent pro. he certainly had a better career than Len Bias. How about Chris Washburn? or Skita? even Darko probably wouldn't be on a true list of top-ten all-time busts.

I have a hard time putting Morrison in the bust category because of his injury, just like Oden and Bowie. No rookie was going to succeed on that train-wreck of a team, then he blew out his knee. He was traded to the best team in the league and buried on the bench mainly behind the best player in the league. He hasn't really had the chance to succeed.

I do agree Olowacrappy is the biggest bust I can remember. Eddy Curry is also close to the top of the list.

never nervous Pervis and Danny Ferry went one-two in the 1989 draft. Sene and O'Bryant went back-to-back with 2006 lottery picks. Vazquez was taken with a lottery pick in 2005. we might be able to come up with a list of 10 picks that never (almost) even played in the NBA. hell, just list the entire 1986 draft and call it the top-ten busts:

2. Bias
3. Washburn
6. Bedford
7. Tarpley
12. Hotplate Williams: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Williams_(basketball,_born_1966)

the KOC top-ten busts might be more impressive than the original list:

Stevenson
Lopez
Borchardt
Pavlovic
Humphries
Snyder
Almond
Fesenko
Koufos
