Trade Deadline

keep in mind the offer that we snagged Al Jefferson for. It'll likely be something similar for Teague in my opinion. Both fringe all-stars that don't fit with the long-term focus of a team intent on rebuilding around a younger player of a similar position.

Dalamon,

Please scrap this and go back to the Karl Malone impersonations. It was brilliant.

TIA

haha. Similar writing style, but I'm for sure not antsy to make a deal. I'm fine with standing pat for this deadline. I'd definitely want to do some pickups next season though.

I don't see why they'd want Burke then. How about some draft picks? Sounds like that will be the thing they covet most going forward.

Burke wouldn't take time from Schroeder. A career backup on a cheap contract.

They won't take Hill. If they don't receive an offer they like, they'll just keep Teague.

cheap contract, player they think will defer to Dennis, and low risk altogether. Plus, he may play better with the Hawks system then ours. AND, he suits their rebuilding plan rather well.

Burke, Burks + picks is far superior to just George Hill. It would need to be Burke + at least two first rounders in order to take Burks out of the mix though.

I agree Burke + Burks is >>>> George Hill. I'm pretty much fully out on trading Alec for Teague. If they are desperate to blow it up then I would go as far as Burke and a pick or two. But we hold the cards here. Burks and Burke were a pretty good bench presence at the beginning of the year before injuries screwed with the lineups. Getting back that scoring presence for the second half of the season could have as big an impact as any trade would.

Trey Burke for Lou Williams works in the trade machine, would anyone here do that?? He's got a few girlfriends, he'd fit right in here in that regard.

He's signed for the next 2 seasons for $7,000,000 per
I would do that

Good post

Maybe it's a 3 team trade. That would make more sense since Atlanta is looking for a wing, not a PG :

Atl out : Teague, in : Burks
Jazz out : Burks, in : Hill
Indiana out : Hill, in : Teague

I would do that

Dude really? He's percentages look like Burke's first year, except that he gets to the charity stripe.

No thank you. We have Burks for that. Hopefully Burke can operate as a good off-ball PG who spaces the floor with a respectable three-point shot. Something Lou truly doesn't have. Burke is also cheaper.
