Evidence that Houston doesn't want Lawson out no matter what, and that it was Houston, not Utah who backed out of the deal: Trade talks have stopped, yet Utah (seemingly) remains desperate to move Burke.
Reports that Houston won't buyout Lawson's contract.
No more Lawson rumors, while Burke rumors remain rampant.

I'm not stating anything as fact. I'm looking at the pieces and trying to fit them together.

So it seems like the Jazz had a couple good trade partners lined up but things didn't end up working out. You think the Jazz are trying to be a little stingy or do you think they're just not willing to take the short end of the stick because other teams are asking for way too much?
