Name one NBA player who ever worked at McDonalds. I am curious.
....had Sterns kept them locked out the whole year....they ALL would have been employed by McDonalds!

CJ, that was a very ignorant comment. Did you see the game last night? Tinsley is no McLeod or Palacio and Jason Fart. While he does have defensive liabilities, these might improve with more playing time.
.... But then again, this is the NBA where former McDonald's workers and YMCA clowns can be gainfully employed!
Really? Oh, why didn't I ever work at McD's!!!!!!
Fixed.I also think that Harris does indeed have abilities and if he cannot figure a way to use them while he is here then that is on him.
Fixed.
It shouldn't be hard for a PG to figure what the general gist of the Jazz system is: look for passes within the offense. Stockton frequently gave up shots in favor of running the O.
While Harris's scoring is helpful (sometimes--depending on whether he's making 'em and whether it causes teammates to stop moving) and his defense is OK (sometimes), I reckon that the negative impact on the offense flow cancels out DH's scoring benefit.
If the Jazz traded him, they'd need another third PG to take his place. Not sure how readily available they are, but it surely would be good to pay someone less than Harris is getting.
In the meantime, whether he's traded or not, I'd vote for giving Tinsley a chance to start--and cut his playing time if he doesn't at least try to defend. Merit-based minutes.
I also think that it is premature to say that the Hayward-as-backup-PG and the Burks-as-backup-PG experiments are over. Probably makes sense to develop Burks first, as there appears to be a greater need for Elder Hayward at the 2/3 spot. Have people noticed that Hayward is 2nd on the team in APG? At least a starting wing is being unselfish; I wish I could say the same for the (recently) starting shoot-first point guard.
Maybe--just maybe--Burks could be the third PG in a pinch, if Harris is somehow traded without getting a PG in return. It'd be a way to get #FreeAlecBurks more minutes, too.
Yeah, Watson is a starting caliber PG. It took 12 years in the NBA for anyone to figure it out though. Thank god for these 2 preseason games to show us the light.
*sarcasm*
See. I was saying it back then. Imagine what I know now.
Tinsley is a solid back-up; we know at least we can count on him if need be. His D is weak, but you have to consider he was guarding Curry which is no easy task. DWill has had problems guarding him too.
Maybe .. not enough sample. Wasn't impressed with his d .. let's get him some more minutes, though.

Looks like he should be a lock as a starter.
