Trade for Ben Simmons

If we could get Simmons while keeping Bogdanovic then that would be best case scenario.

Gobert/Simmons would be a great defensive duo. Mitchell and Bogey are enough offense to counteract.

It would have to be something like Clarkson/Royce/Ingles/30 or Favors in that deal instead of Ingles works too.

I don’t know if Philadelphia does it but I would.

Our biggest need is another great defender in the mix while keeping offense.

We know that all defense like Rubio/Crowder didn’t work and all offense Conley/Bogdanovic didn’t work.

I think a combo of both might such as Crowder/Bogdanovic but we get a super Crowder in Simmons. I think we could work on his offense. Players thrive and have their best seasons here.

I like that better but I just hate to think of Simmons in an important playoff game not being able to be on the court late or being completely ineffective and scared to touch the ball.

Then you could have the same thing happening to Rudy at the same time with small ball and there might 2 of our main guys that just kill us in the playoffs.

Simmons isn't a super crowder though. Crowder shoots hella threes stretches the floor and is a tough guy.
Simmons literally never ever shoots threes and is a fake tough guy.

Simmons might be the best perimeter defender in the league though. I know he can’t shoot like Crowder but I was more talking defensively.

Well DL thinks Oni could be one of the best defensive players in the league so I’m not sure I really take a lot of stock into what they said at exit interviews.

I mean he just set an all time NBA record for worst free throw shooting and would also set the record worst 3 point shooting if he dared shoot any. I would feel more comfortable with Rudy shooting 3's than Simmons. And way way more comfortable with Rudy at the line. That's sad.

That offense is so bad that I don't want any part of him.

If he could shoot he’d be untouchable and would be a top-10 player in the league. You have to give and take. Maybe we can work with him and make him passable on offense. His stock is at an all-time low right now. If you believe in him now is the time. I feel like he’d be amazing playing with Donovan and Rudy.
