To get Brandon Knight along with Calderon for only giving up Harris and someone taking Bell's contract we would have to give up the Golden state pick. I know most of you are hesitate for that but I think Brandon Knight could be better than that pick and Calderon is better than Harris so I think its worth it.

I would think the Raptors would have to get that draft pick or the Pistons could have the choice between the Golden state pick or there own pick. The later one goes to the Raptors for taking on Ben Gordon's horrible contract. Raptors like guys like Gordon and they are under the cap and could take on his contract while getting a lottery pick next year for doing so.

Calderon - Knight - Watson
Miles - Burks
Hayward - Howard - Evans
Favors - Millsap - Evans
Jefferson - Kanter

Thoughts or modifications to make it work? What do the Pistons or Raptors need to make it fair. Remember Ben Gordon has over 37 Million left on his deal for the next 3 years. So the Pistons getting rid of his contract is a big bonus especially for an organization that is hurting so much financially.

My first reaction was you're insane. After thinking about it a little I think you might be in the ball park, but still off for two teams. Detroit doesn't need to get under the cap and there aren't a whole lot of players they'll be able to sign anyway. They need to rebuild through the draft and Brandon Knight is part of that plan. I don't see the value for Toronto either.

Detroit is doing okay financially but I know they don't want to continue to be the chumps paying that chump's salary. I don't know if being rid of him and his salary alone is worth trading the closest thing they probably have to a PG that they drafted with a top-10 pick.

However, if this can be done, HOLY **** do it. I think Knight could be a legit PG in the right environment, and on the Jazz backing up Calderon I think that is a perfect environment.

EDIT: the GS pick is included. Okay. That's closer.

Not terribly sure why Toronto does this, though.

Knight is a good fit with the Jazz. He's a helluva shooter/scorer. Incredibly high basketball IQ. Gym rat and intangibles are a 10. Also is clutch (as seen twice in the NCAA tourney alone). The Jazz don't need a PG that dominates the ball. Having Knight be able to get the team together, see the floor (including what the other team is running), make very few bone-headed mistakes, and hit his shots, would be an upgrade, imo.

My concern with Knight is his lack of an explosive first-step (though we was playing on the heels of John Wall) and playing for a team/offense that is dependent on him lowing by his guy.
