I don't have any specific trade in mind but it's obvious we need more production from our starting PG.
Which player in our team would you be willing to let go and for who? We're in no man's land right now.

I've watched the Kings a few times and Collison can really put up the points and shoot the 3. But would they take Burke straight up, or would we have to include a pick?

I don't dislike the idea. We need PG insurance, Exum is a mystery until proven otherwise. The potential is there, but those bad knee injuries...

The Sixers have a glut at the PG position right now with McConnell, Canaan, Wroten and Marshall... I do think we could get 1 of them here relatively cheaper.

I think McConnell with his passing ability should fit right in ...

Are there any good pg's in the draft? #tank2016

Yeah, here's a quick breakdown.

Jamal Murray and Kris Dunn will be lottery picks and off the board.

The next tier, ones that could be available with the Jazz pick in the first are;

Demetrius Jackson, who's 6'1", quick with the ball and moving his feet(and hands) on defense, he's strong and damn good shooter from 3,not to be left open.He figures to be off the board somewhere near the lottery, a Jr. From Notre Dame, I think he's a better prospect than ND's PG last year Jerian Grant, who went #19th in 2015.

Isaiah Briscoe is a power guard in the mold of a Marcus Smart, he's battle ready and the cousin of Kyrie Irving. Maybe an inch shorter than Smart, and less bouncy, he's got more natural PG instincts, he's got a monstrous wingspan for someone his height so he's got great tools, combined with his strength and hands to be a menacing defender. He can also play off the ball, and is a very effective slasher. He also will be able to function as strictly a floor general if need be. His shots far from broken but he's the worst shooter out of the 4 names in bold.

Wade Baldwin IV is a realtively late bloomer who's blowing up in his Sophomore year, he's got at least a 6'10" wingspan at 6'2" or 6'3", great hands, he appears to be a vocal floor leader, his 3pt shooting is something that at this point looks vastly improved, he's over 50%, wasn't a top-100 recruit, he's got some stop and start moves. Good player.

Melo Trimble is looking like a solid first round pick too. He's strong and balanced with a quick first step, he can shoot, kinda similar to Baldwin tbh, doesn't have long arms though, doesn't seem to dunk, he's good shooter and shot a ton of FT's at a really high rate as a freshman, shows flashes of great vision.

Then there's more than a few on the radar for fringe 1st round/priority 2nd round picks; 6'6" Tyrone Wallace, 6'6" Tim Quarterman, 6'2" Marcus Paige, 6'2" Monte Morris, 5'9" Tyler Ulis, 6'5" George Lucas, 6'2" Isaiah Taylor, 6'3" Gary Payton II.

The only trade I can see is doing something small to address our weaknesses up front... and I think it would be a temporary fix because I think we want Lyles in that role soon.

The PG problem really is with Neto... think Burke is fine in his role, but when he has a bad night our issues are accentuated by not having another steady hand at the position.

We should have done better in FA. The Exum injury would have been hard to predict, but guys could have been had to address the 3rd big issue... which would then make a Booker trade for PG help something we could handle. I like consistency and developing our guys but we went a bit too conservative imo.

What would it take to get Jarrett Jack? He has 6.3 million this year and 6.3 million non guaranteed next year. I think he would be a perfect fill until Dante can come back healthy, just depends on what they would want for him.

A guy I'd call about is Tyler Zeller. Boston has too many guys. He is a restricted FA at season's end, but if the price was right I'd bring him in. Would give a second round pick or two... if Tibor has value and they are in I wouldn't hesitate to send him. Wouldn't send a first rounder though... not even the OKC protected one.

only problem is he's not exactly a terrific 3 pt shooter

Why even bother contemplating trades? Unless you are new to being a Jazz fan, I think it's pretty obvious that they aren't too keen on making trades mid-season to improve the team.

I'm pretty sure the plan is to finish in the middle of the pack and call it good. Then do it again next year. I don't know how the plan could be perceived as anything else.
