I prefer picks but I'd trade for good prospects too... I just kinda hate the idea of starting to box ourselves in with a John Collins trade... so that one has to come with draft capital or I'd be opposed (not violently opposed but opposed nonetheless).

I mentioned Duarte elsewhere but other guys I'd like would that I think could be available would be like Obi Toppin types. There aren't a lot. Rui isn't my cup of tea just because he's a bad defender and bad passer. He's a good scorer but I don't see him as having huge upside. I'd rather have Vando. Rui is also a FA. Honestly... I wouldn't trade NAW straight up for Rui.

I do think it is smart to cash in on Beasley/Vando now as they are at their apex of trade value because of how their contracts are structured. Whether that is for prospects or picks I don't care too much.

fit with who though? half this roster will be somewhere else in 2 years bank on it.
I am not even sold the FInnisher will still be here the way Danny has flipped good players before.
 
I really disliked Rui in the draft and he hasnt done anything to really make me change my mind, but I don't keep close tabs on him. He'd be a nice bench player to have cuz he's big and he can really score, but I'm not sure what we would give up for him.
 
If the plan is to trade Vando, I get why the Jazz would have interest in Rui. He'd be a solid backup to Lauri. He probably gets frozen out in RFA and I doubt he gets a big offer from anyone, so you could potentially have him on a very fair deal for a young guy who can get buckets.

He's made himself an efficient scorer... like in the Rudy Gay role I'm good. I don't think I would expect a whole lot more and I think he's a guy that might struggle to defend in the playoffs.

Wiz are so mid... they gonna give Kuzma like 30M a year... just watch.

Its a big concern for us too... or should be.

I just think you make every big decision about the roster with Lauri and Walker in mind... I don't think Collins is the guy you'd bring in if you thought "what do we need to put around these two guys?". If it comes with some draft compensation then I get it. If this is the offers they are getting then it should come with some draft compensation.

they really need to just move Beal... that deal will end up sinking them eventually.

1) Who will we develop with the minutes we have? G Leaguers?
2) If we keep Lauri and Kessler.. will we be able to still lose enough to sink low enough so that it matters
3) If we give away all our NBA ready player assets and are left with just draft picks and untouchables.. how are we gonna deal with anyone in the offseason?

Before anyone answers that we can use our draft picks like currency.. please dont. It only works when dealing with clear rebuilders. You need tradable players to be able to deal with contenders... and this parity leads me to believe 80% of the teams will go into next year thinking they have playoff chances.
