Lakers wanting Russell instead of Conley is just so on brand... when they gonna learn.

I think he makes more sense. He has been better than Conley this year and obviously much younger. He is shooting the 3 ball better than he has at any point in his career as well.

I hope we get protections taken off the 2029 first from Minnesota and trade Gay to them as well. If they trade Russell and take back Conley it’s saving them 8.6M.

I wonder if Lakers send out anyone else too because they’d be adding 4.4M.

If the Lakers insisted on getting Russell instead of Conley to make the deal happen then it’s all good on making Minnesota a little better in the interim.

Guessing Utah and Minnesota leaked this stuff to get the deal going on the LA side. Might be some minor disagreements on protections/swaps that Utah is trying to get pushed through.
