Tony Jones said on twitter that the pick from the Lakers will be long gone by the time 2027 rolls around, indicating that the Jazz are likely to trade it eventually.
Top 4 protected in 2027, unprotected in 2028 if it doesn't convey, don't hate it at all.
A lot of you really overvalued Mike Conley / Malik Beasley, IMO
I wasn't sure what happened if the pick didn't convey, since it's unprotected the following year instead of something like 2 future 2RP's or something like that I like the deal more now.You just asked me how it was a good deal lmao.
Betting against the Lakers is quite literally one of the best bets you can make over the last 10 years or so... but sure. All it takes is for one big name FA to sign with them in 2025/26 for them to be good which has happened numerous times before. Betting against the Lakers surely won't be the smartest thing in the world.

duh like any org isnt interested in Luka. snhAndy Larsen mentioned on ESPN 700 this afternoon that the Jazz are monitoring the Luka situation in Dallas. If this Kyrie trade ends up blowing up in their face and he leaves in the offseason, and Luka eventually becomes so unhappy that he asks out, the Jazz definitely have enough draft assets to trade for him. He called it a pipe dream, but said the interest from the front office is real.
Unprotected in 2028 is ****ing awesome. Lakers literally can not trade a future pick unless it’s their 2030 first.
