Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I can confirm that any player that gets traded from our team will be a player who’s on our roster and it will before the trade deadline. This is all according to my sources.
If nothing happens:

I told you it was big. Us trading no one is big. It also involved our rotational pieces.. not getting traded. Huge surprise. I warned you.

Conley/Beasley/Vando for Westbrook/first is the realistic best case scenario for us right now. Frees up more playing time for Sexton and Agbaji.

I agree but i really think if you dont get the 2nd unprotected first (and the Lakers shouldnt do that if they are smart anyway), you have to mandate the swap this year. The Lakers still come out looking good overall since they still get a pick.

There are lots of ways to negotiate… I doubt Ainge loses any clout by bending and finding middle ground… actually might facilitate deals in the future.

If it’s a deal that brings long term value and it’s the best deal on the table… I take it.
Are we just going to pretend that the Lakers front office is going to be employed two years from now? Screw 'em.

30M+ in cap space... getting a swap that moves us up 8-10 spots is not "doing a trade for trades sake". That is first round value... last year Detroit was able to use their space to acquire picks and move into the late lotto to get Jalen Duren.

Is it amazing value? Probably not... but it absolutely has a purpose.
Yeah, this is the kind of thing we may be coming down to: deals that are considerably less sexy than the ones we've long imagined are out there. I'd personally probably do your Conley, Gay, Olynyk for Westbrook/pick swap. But I imagine it's not going to be popular if it comes down to that.

I don't know whether DA/JZ/RS pull the trigger on such non-lopsided deals, however. Guess we'll see.
