Trade nothing, we signed Terry to a fourish year deal for fourish mil per when he was a restricted free agent, but his team matched.

However, Mo is all that Terry is and maybe more so no big deal.

Source? Because the one listed says it was JET for Raul Lopez.

We also signed him to an offer sheet that was matched (Hawks).

CiCi seems to think that because we have Mo Williams ten years later this isn't an interesting story.

After the 2002-03 season The Jazz signed both Terry and Maggette to offer sheets that were both matched.

LOL - I remember the day after they signed Terry he was on the radio saying he was thrilled to be playing for The Jazz and telling Atl managment not to match the offer sheet. To this day I think it was reverse psychology.

I wonder if Utah made a third play to get Jason Terry instead of Foye before Terry signed with Boston.

Ok, raise of hands; who wants Jason Terry on our team right now? Anybody? Anybody? (My hand isn't up by the way)

He's a bench player. Too short to be a SG, too stupid to be a PG. Makes shots though.
Considering that and how Ty would probably start him, I'd rather have Foye.

Maybe, but if I remember right, his cousin lived here and Terry was saying that he signed the offer sheet because his cousin loves it here. Well, that and the Jazz gave it to him.

I remember how excited I was that the Jazz had signed him to an offer sheet and then upset when it was matched. Of course, we had to wait a year and then got Carlos, The Great, and Memo...Money, so it all worked out for the best.

There is a big difference between him now and back then. Unfair comparison.

Terry was/is a clutch playoff performer.

I think Williams has been criticized for disappearing during the Cavs playoff games.

Terry was a big part of that Dallas championship as well. He's declining now, but has always been a player who could make shots

I thank the Basketball God everyday that the Clippers matched the Maggette offer sheet but I was disappointed when the Hawks matched on Terry.

Don't get me wrong, I was dissapointed too, but in retrospect; even though he is a decent player I don't think he fits into what the Jazz are then or now. He is either a shoot first point guard or a short shooting guard. Not a horrible player and has some toughness and leadership, but not the answer. Yes he helped Dallas, and he would have helped us, but I wouldn't take him now and because we didn't get him before we got Deron instead with a good pick and that took us to a western conference finals appearance and then neeted us Favors, Kanter, and Marvin Williams, so hey, no biggie.

Why? Maggs was always one of the top five most efficient scorers in the game and to my knowledge wasn't some locker room cancer.

Efficient as long as he is the only player being judged. There's a reason he's never been on a good team and it's because "pass" is not in his vocabulary.

He does have that tattoo of the NBA championship trophy. That's gotta count for something.
