Tragic Irony

The year we don't make the playoffs, it seems as wide open as ever in the West - AND Kobe goes down for the entire thing midway through the first round. Maybe part of being a Jazz fan is just never catching a ****ing break.

Kobe's out? I knew that he was injured but he's missing games or the rest of the series? And i'm still excited for the future of the Jazz! But this year it's Memphis all the way!!

We need to rebuild the right way. The west powers are falling off. If we rush this just to get back to the playoffs im going to be pissed.

But...but... it will be tainted if you don't play the best to get to the finals!!!111!! Remember when certain moronic people who won't be named (for now) were debating me on that? Think if Thunder make it to the finals by beating Memphis and Portland they're gonna give a ****? Do you think their fans are going to give a ****??

Just wait our young guns will have a desent year next season and then they will start the 2012-2013 season undefeated through Dec. 23 and then those damn Mayans will mess it all up!

The Lakers are more vunerable, but would probably somehow find a way to beat us. That is the truly sad thing.

...and Kobe is not out! What are you talking about? He is playing in game 5.

This was a reactionary thread to news that Kobe was out of playoffs that I got from a friend who was teasing our friend from LA who now lives here. The joke was on me as I didn't realize he was joking.

I felt so stupid upon finding out Kobe isn't out for the playoffs and wanted to delete the thread, but after further thought I decided to take full responsibility for me internet actions and will suffer the e-personal attacks hurled my way.

WTF were you thinking?

We might as well just turn this into a voodoo thread.

<sticks pin in Kobe doll>

This. Honestly moving forward in the West there's only one team that's truly scary and that's the Thunder and to a lesser degree I guess the Nugz. Spurs (LOL), Lakers (getting old, No Phil, and way over the cap soon), Mavs (old), Blazers (key pieces getting older, Roy's knees), Hornets (CP3 is gone), Grizzlies (look good against the Spurs, but they're still a meh team). We are in a prime position to just lay low for a season or 2 and letting our young quality players develop.

That said I'm sure before the Lakers just fall off into veteran mediocrity they'll land Dwight or someone spectacular to put them back on top.

Dont forget Grizzlies without Rudy Gay.
