Training Camp 2025

Historically he has been very good, but I can't say I paid much attention to him last year. Maybe he's fallen off some.
I really have no idea I just figured slow and unathletic would be poor traits for a perimeter defender. (It's why my worst skill when I played was perimeter defense but I excelled at everything else)

I was glancing at the team's official website and it's kind of a mess. It lists Evan Bradds as an assistant coach and he left to go to Duke on May 1. Also no mention of Coach Woj as an assistant coach. I guess some things aren't important in the Ryan Smith orbit.

Could be wrong (usually am), but I expect a lot of experimentation throughout (at least the first half of) the year to find quality combos.

My big training camp question is who of Love and Martin makes it to the regular season. Yeah, I'm weird.
Ah ... that didnt' even make it to training camp.

It wouldn't be an Ainge rebuild season without three washed vets that have zero value on the court, zero trade value, and don't want to be on the team.

What would everyone's reaction be if Niang gets more minutes than Ace this year?

Niang played 1,697 minutes last year. That would have been our 5th highest.

Jazz rookie total minutes the last 3 years:
Collier: 1,839
Flip: 1,521
Cody: 1,059
Keyonte: 2,022
Hendricks: 856
Brice: 584
Kessler: 1,703
Agbaji:1,209

For me, No trade that includes less than 3 1sts and a young player is even worth suggesting. Yet I have read hundreds of throw away trade ideas and little appreciation for the quality he brings.
Lauri is not as good as Mitchell or Gobert, it is not three years ago (the market is being WAY tighter about trading picks), and it is not hate to point out those realities.

Imagine going to make offers on houses based on a market 2-3 years ago. The NBA market is ever changing. There are just way less teams with that many picks available and the returns from some of these "all-in" trades are starting to look pretty rough. Some look good... but I think if you move Lauri you are looking for one primo pick and a good prospect or 2 really good picks and a flyer.

And we are a team trying to engineer organic losses. And Lauri is a decade older than whoever we get next year. And Lauri is house money in the first place.
