I love itFound this Pelton article to be interesting. It includes his win projections, but also update win projections if certain (realistic) things happen.
For the Jazz, the swing event was if Lauri plays more or less minutes. On his base projections, the Jazz are 4th worse. Putting Lauri at the exact minutes as last year and the Jazz are 4th worse.
The only team that is significantly worse in the projections is the Wizards. DET and CHO are very close to the Jazz in initial projections but would elevate based on Lamelo's health and Cade's improvement. POR and BKN being ahead of the Jazz is probably a surprise to most, the projections are this way because the Jazz have way more minutes projected for rookies. The Nets, for example, don't have a single player drafted in 2024 on their roster.
