Is any one as excited to watch this as I am? Just a fanboy of the Transformers from my kid days.

Mark Whalberg and Kelsey Grammer are in it.

Transformers (So far)
Optimus Prime - Western Star 4900 Custom.
Bumblebee - 67 Camaro SS
Hound - Transforms into a Medium Tactical Vehicle from Oshkosh Defense.
Drift - Transforms into a Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse.
Slingshot - Transforms into a C7 Corvette Stingray.
? - Transforms into a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe
? - Transforms into a Sonic RS Rally Car

Grammer is a bad guy and the last two transformers are up in the air as far as good or bad. None of the human actors from 1-3 are coming back. Whole new cast.

It never bothered me as much as it did others. Mutants are no more believable than aliens.

As for the anti Bay sentiment, well I find it silly. I go to the movies to be entertained for two hours. His movies do that. Are the the best? hardly. But they are good for a few hours of entertainment.

My biggest problem is that he was basically taking the "Teenage MUTANT Ninja Turtles" brand, turning it into "Ninja Turtles", creating his own story/characters, but using the marketability of the turtle franchise and saying, "look, it's the same, we have April!"

If he wants to do an Alien movie, great, but it isn't TMNT.

Also, I do agree about the anti-Bay. His movies are what they are, a waste of two hours. If you expect more from a two hour block, movies probably aren't where you should be. If you want a couple cheesy jokes, some big explosions and cool FX, then Bay is a good place to be.

Suspension of belief can only go so far.

Shaky hand cam can only go so far.

Overly busy CGI effects can only go so far.

Screen cuts per minute (or second in some cases) can only go so far.

4? Really? I thought that making the 2nd one was unnecessary. Now you mean to tell me he did a 3rd one? And now a 4th one? Wow. Makes about as much sense as making another Indiana jones or jaws movie. Or jurassic park
 
Speaking of jaws, when is that going to be reloaded? I get that it's a classic but Hollywood is clearly out of ideas. Why not attempt to remake that?
