So do you like him or not? After watching the Duke Baylor game I’m leaning towards wanting Tre. I wasn’t very impressed with what I saw. His skill level is a lot lower than I thought.
I think he’s saying that he wasn’t as impressed with Edgecombe and is leaning more towards Tre now.So do you like him or not?
Everyone’s doing that all of a sudden.. lol..I think he’s saying that he wasn’t as impressed with Edgecombe and is leaning more towards Tre now.
Like who?For The Record...
I've said this before, but I'll say it again a little more strongly worded:
Tre Johnson is the third best prospect in this draft class, but I would still prefer the Jazz to take someone else.
I’m out on Kon. I just don’t see the appeal inside the top 5.If Charlotte takes Tre I’d be all for Kon.
I guess it makes sense to collect all the role players so when we finally get “that guy” we’d be ready to go.If Charlotte takes Tre I’d be all for Kon.
As of today (Before a deep dive) I like Kas, probably Ace and VJ, maybe Kon or Fears over Tre.Like who?
honestly not that hard to reconcile. Tre played on a Texas team with very little spacing. they lacked offensive threats and elite shooters. Tre played against clogged lanes and defenses in the toughest conference in cbb geared to stop him. it's going to be tough sledding getting to and finishing at the rim under those circumstances, especially for a freshman who is relied upon to the extent he was on that Texas team.I don't have a problem with Locke having a different opinion on Johnson and I think there is some value to "missing the narratives" all year, but I wonder how he would reconcile his take that Tre has an elite first step but also cannot get to the rim. Defense, almost everyone agrees is bad though the extent can be debated. Passing, I'm in agreement that the "ballhog" narrative doesn't bother me and I think he's actually underrated here. But the ability to attack the rim is the biggest question mark. Players that cannot get to the rim or the FT line rarely do so in the NBA and that is a tough living in the NBA. Definitely guys who are able to do that, but unless they are the elite of the elite you might not love that player.
Locke has his core indicators that he believes strongly in, and I guess that's fine, but he has no open mindedness to other numbers or how those numbers may be misleading.
