My hell!! I'm not talking about insensitive posts, and I could care less if someone criticized me for my opinion, but if I recall reading the rules of jazzfanz Trolls aren't permitted. Getting 6-7 red bars. You have to want to get 3 red bars let alone 6.

This is disappointing, if it was Trey. I know he's young—and Shaq of all people ought to know better for crying out loud—but he ought to make amends for this. It may be a good learning experience for him. Making fun of people with disabilities is pretty damn low.

They aren't, but when it's specified what trolling is I don't believe he makes the cut. You can argue that he posts his crap just to get a reaction, but you can also argue he has his opinions too. Granted I think he's a jackwad and a half, but again, people here really don't want others getting banned for that, even for instances like him where I doubt there would be much of an outcry if he were booted.
 
No need to execute Burke or Clark for this but I'd strongly warn them and penalize in accordance of the team policy for such occasions and make them apologize the man publicly. And if it's possible I would even turn this into a reconciliation event with the both parties present in person.

I don't think it's as bad as racism, very slight difference though, but it's certainly not a thing to pass on saying oh we forgive this, kids were just messing around. Definitely not.

Oh, and Shaq is the biggest idiot I've ever known, literally.

I agree with your course of disciplinary action, because it's a first offense, but take issue with your stance that this is not as bad as racism. Can you please explain to me what is the difference between discriminating against someone based on disability, and discriminating against someone based on skin color?

On an emotional and ethical level -and if we consider it as a single act-, I'm on the same page with you, it has no difference with racism. But people want heavy precautions and sanctions against racism because it's more dangerous as its results suggest and have been experienced worldwide through the history, including the near past. If we think the subject crimes as isolated from their backgrounds and results, both acts are despicable equally but in fact both are forgivable too if the people who made them committed it unintentionally and regret it genuinely. But, very deservedly, we don't have that luxury against racism and will never have. The other act though have that luxury, especially if the victim forgives it and is content with the conciliation. But you can't never forgive racism.

So, I don't claim a difference really. Just saying it's not bad as racism as a whole concept and the precautions, retributions and corrections can't be considered in the same manner.

Donald Sterling is of the opinion that people who are close to him should not associate with certain people because of a physical trait. Those who posted this photo thought it was funny. Are you totally blind to the difference? Yes, they should apologize, but no, they are not even close to the same thing.
