VS POR 2 nights ago: 22pts, 1assist, 3steals, 4-5 from 3pt line (in 23 minutes)

Notice how he is averaging 3 steals per game in those 2 games.

Good to see but Burke will need to have more that a few preseason games to make me believe.

It's going to be hard for Burke to do much in the starting line-up other than hit some jumpers. I think we saw what Burke could do in the 1 big line-up where spacing is improved and he can do a little more penetrating with space in the high paint area and work a PNR with Favors.

I dunno. It's a lot easier to hate him.

He got his stats, but he took the L, like always.

Quin said Burke played the best perimeter D of the night.

Worst had to be Burks.

Mods, can I have my alt back so I can praise CQ's special use of Burke on offense tonight and how good he actually is on D just to piss everyone with alt paranoia off?

And my other 88 alts too, because apparently I'm responsible for every single alt this site has ever seen

I like how he has been creating space for himself in the paint by getting his defender on his back more often (seems more often) like how hood does so well.

LOL - Jazz are going to lose at least 60% of their games when Burke takes 15 or more shots.

He does nothing to make Favors or Gobert better - especially Gobert whom he seems to NEVER pass the ball to. Gobert played his best last year when he was involved on both ends of the floor. He's not the type of player who you can freeze out on offense and then expect him to do everything on defense.

Burke does not belong with this starting 5 - I don't know if Neto is the answer; but do I know Burke isn't.

If the Jazz lose 60% of their games with Burke shooting 47% from the floor and scoring 20points on 15 shots it's probably not Burke's fault.

Teams are defending Burke to take that mid range shot. If he's making those shots consistently they'll have to take that away. If Burke isn't getting Gobert easy buckets after that it's on him. As of now he's making the right play.

Agreed - but that's not what I said.

We've seen this before - Burke will have his moments but when you feature him in the starting 5, in the long run, Jazz will be a losing team.

Are you sure the lines weren't:

23 points, 5 assists, 1 steal, 3-4 from 3

21 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 2-4 from 3

22 points, 7 assists, 2 steals, 3-6 from 3

Oh wait that was last preseason! We all know how indicative those performances were of regular season play..
