Trey Burke playing well given minutes & opportunities

If the Jazz lose 60% of their games with Burke shooting 47% from the floor and scoring 20points on 15 shots it's probably not Burke's fault.

Agreed - but that's not what I said.

We've seen this before - Burke will have his moments but when you feature him in the starting 5, in the long run, Jazz will be a losing team.

VS POR 2 nights ago: 22pts, 1assist, 3steals, 4-5 from 3pt line (in 23 minutes)


Notice how he is averaging 3 steals per game in those 2 games.

Are you sure the lines weren't:

23 points, 5 assists, 1 steal, 3-4 from 3

21 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 2-4 from 3

22 points, 7 assists, 2 steals, 3-6 from 3

Oh wait that was last preseason! We all know how indicative those performances were of regular season play..

This is mostly true, unless he can stretch the floor and hit 3s at a +35% clip. Which there is no reason to think that could happen so I agree.

I'm going to stop watching games if he's going to keep taking 15 shot attempts, even if he does make more than 37 % of them. The ball still stops for too long with him, he still dribbles too much, he still doesn't facilitate, the best players aren't touching the ball enough & he's still 6 ft nothing with average speed and vision at best.

If it's a Burke/Burks backcourt playing starters minutes for the year we won't win 40 games. Book it in.
