just don't get why the jazz draft 19 year olds, then refuse to play them in the d league. the only explanation is that they worry they will struggle down there and it will absolutely kill their confidence rather than having it on life support like Lyles now or Exum has been at times.

Was it the Jazz or Lyles who refused to use the dleague?

Fair question. However, If Lyles is refusing to do what he's asked to do by coaches and management, i can't imagine the jazz would put up with that. He isn't good enough. They wouldn't tolerate a guy refusing to practice or refusing to go in a game when summoned, not sure why this would be any different.

Locke's podcast last week basically dumped him in the selfish category that he's lost the plot after seeing his friends from UK get all the playing time and shots they want...

I'd like to imagine this conversation....

Setting: Deep in the heart of the Vivint Smart Home Arena, interior of Dennis O'Lindsey's office. Four men with sullen faces sit around a large glass top table. Dennis O Lindsey, Quinn Snyder, Trey Lyles and his agent.

Hesitantly, Trey's agent speaks: "Thanks for meeting with us today, my client has a few things he would like to discuss."

Trey: "Yea, I want to talk about playing time, I want to play."

Quinn interrupts:"I told you, you could play when you learn to pass and rebound."

Trey: "Pass and rebound, Calipari has like 6 championships, he never talked about pass and rebound, basketball is about shooting"

Quinn with a death glare:"And you can't shoot, have you looked at the knuckleball bricks you've been chucking up lately?"

Trey: "I can't shoot without rhythm, you got to play me more then I will shoot better, just like my friends from Kentucky, they all play and shoot. Did you see what Devin Booker did? And he was drafted AFTER me!"

Quinn turns his death glare on Dennis O'Lindsey who puts his face in his hands and mutters: "Why do people keep saying that?"
