The TDS you refer to never existed, except in the minds of those Americans who feel that saying Donald Trump should be held to account for his crimes against our constitution, and our ideals, is somehow an indication that people who believe “no man is above the law”, are “deranged” because….Trump.
If an American citizen believes that Trump’s Big Lie is one of the most damaging lies an American president could possibly inflict on his own nation, and that he should be held to account for actions he took to overturn a free and fair election, such a citizen is a GOOD citizen, correctly understanding how much Trump’s words and actions are in violation of our ideals, and our laws. That’s not derangement. That’s being a good citizen, a citizen who recognizes demagoguery, a citizen who recognizes the Big Lie will likely, at least for quite a spell, cause Americans to distrust elections, a distrust amplified by a lying sack of ****, who has never, for one single day of his life, cared about the United States, its constitution, its laws, its citizens.
No sir, the people who fall into the category I’m describing are good citizens, with a far better understanding of our nation, than those truly driven nuts by Trump. The TDS that does exist is being projected, by those who suffer from it, upon those who simply have a far better understanding of who Trump is, why he appeared at this time in our history, and the danger his fascist leaning mind poses for our nation.
Not all who voted Trump are bat-**** crazy. But it’s there, among Trump supporters, that one will find those deranged by the appearance of Donald Trump in our body politic. Some think he’s the second coming, some think that God decided Trump was just what the country needed. All kinds of deranged conspiracy theories have developed, among his followers, involving Trump. QAnon is deranged. And at times focused on Trump. Pizzagate was deranged. And inspired by Hillary hatred. Many principled conservatives even recognized Trump. And why not? Lots of very smart conservative intellectuals in the United States, and they know a demagouge just as easily as I do. The only people in the United States who might be described as driven deranged by Trump are among his followers, not among those who recognize him.
