Why should trump haters give him a chance. Also, he already had a chance. He got impeached twice lol.

Well because he gave a Nazi salute.

AND

He’s been tweeting Nazi things and retweeting Nazi accounts. Which is far more concerning to me. He bought twitter in order to turn it into a right wing echo chamber. Claiming that white people are being replaced by minorities, relentlessly tweeting conspiracies about Jews, and attacking liberal democracies across the world is something a Nazi would do. The world’s richest man with one of the major communication platforms has a large influence over people.

It never ceases to amaze me how people have memory holed 2017-2021. Who was the president back then? Who was the jackass who made Jan 6 happen? Who was the jerk who just pardoned this guy? Seems odd to pardon someone wearing something glorifying Auschwitz, right?

Yep. This describes a lot of posters here. Five or Ten years ago they wouldn’t be defending the garbage they’re defending now. And they’d never defend a Democrat the way they’re defending Trump, even if they did the exact same stuff. Just imagine if Obama or Biden had staged a coup. No one here would’ve defended them.

Trump gives them a permission structure to act their worst selves. He’s the ultimate moral test and many are deciding to fail it. Why? Because there is freedom in acting belligerent, impulsive, misogynistic, and racist. There’s power in reverting back to the impulse control of a toddler. The posters on here know what they’re doing. They’re just really ****** people.

Trump won by about 1/2 the absolute vote margin and vote percentage that Biden did. I don't understand how you can call that a "knockout." I mean, it was a clear win, but not a landslide by any means.

Did republicans ever give Obama a chance in 2009 when he won the popular vote by 8 percentage points more than McCain? Did Trump? Or did they do everything in their power to demean, hinder, and question his presidency? Who was the jerk who questioned Obama’s birth certificate?

I say we give Trump as much of a chance as that jerk who questioned obama’s worthiness to serve as president.
