Twitter feeds leading up to the draft

Lillard who? 12 gives the Jazz a great chance to get Rivers or PJ3.

I still feel like a team like the Jazz would be perfect for PJ3 because the expectations at this point are in Favors and Hayward. PJ3 could come along slowly and build hat work ethic with he rest of the core.

Definitely a difference between listening to offers and actively trying to make a deal. The former sounds like o Conner to me.
Yep, KOC just sits on his hands. No deal to move up for a PG when we got stuck with the #6 pick, no deal to trade Koufos and some picks to take a chance on a 20/10 player. Oh yeah, and he sat around and watched our all-star PG leave via free agency instead of getting some youngsters to build around. Oh wait...

I could definitely see the Bucks looking at Jefferson given their needs. If needed, would you do Jefferson and the #47 for #12? Don't you think the Bucks would want to sign an extension with AL before this? Or at least see what kind of money he thinks he is worth after this year? I'm not sure, I'm somewhat new to these things, but it just seems like a huge factor.

Don't know about all the other things, but yeah, I'd do it .. with a quickness.

12th pick won't get you Lilliard. Lilliard won't slip past Portland at the most.

After that, do we sacrifice the 12th pick and GS pick (2 lotto picks) to move up maybe 3 or 4 spots? Nah, the Jazz are after someone else with this pick and it's someone they had going mid round. Pretty sure that the Houston trade rumor for 14 or 16 posted a while back is related to this trade rumor and it's probably the same guy that the Jazz are after.

I would also pull the trigger quick. But that makes me think the Bucks wouldn't. The Jazz should trade the rights to the GS pick and parlay it with something, say Jefferson, if Lillard is available.

The question is whether the 12th pick is better than who you can sign in FA once Al's contract is off the books. I wouldn't do it. But of course that deal doesn't say what salary we're taking back from the Bucks because Al for picks doesn't work.

All moves of desperation. I could very easily see him as content with what we have now seeing as no one will force his hand by leaving through free agency.

Completely inaccurate and untrue.

agree to disagree then, I usually support KOC in his methods, as it has produced a lot of winning years for us, but he rarely makes big moves when not under pressure to do so.

he signed jefferson after losing his starting forward (boozer) and center (okur) to free agency/injury.

after numerous notes of unhappiness with boozer's lack of defense and his missing games he goes and signs a guy to replace him with similar characteristics (having never played defense and having recently had knee surgery)

He traded up (3 spots) for deron who was not much of a risky pick considering what they gave up, when they had just finished 14th in the west and needed a pg.

He traded deron after "discovering" he probably wouldnt resign, and for the leftover scraps from the mello deal with NJ (which i am happy about now) and reportedly not shopping the market.

All three seem like moves made because he had to.

start describing the trades when the jazz were perennial 5-8 seeds.

The only trade that comes to mind that seemed to help us was Kyle Korver.

Otherwise it featured dumping salaries and nothing much else.

It is of my opinion that KOC is very rarely aggressive, and its not a bad thing.

Is this what started that little KOC debate?

On Lillard
Jeff Wade: Who saw Damian Lillard play? How Eric Maynor-y is he?
Nobody knows who to compare this guy to.

Jonathan Givony: I'm a bit embarassed to say how many times I've updated our mock draft today, but there's been tons of info coming in

Tim Kawakami: NBA source: It's possible Harrison Barnes falls out of the top 6, but unclear if GSWs would jump on him at 7 over Waiters or Lillard.

Jefferson is perfect fit for Bucks and DUNLEAVY is a perfect fit for Jazz

Jefferson xx Udrich + Dunleavy + 12 ( PJIII, Marshall, Jones... )

Would be great

Here is an interesting article about the Bucks. I thought that this is appropriate given the fact that we talked about the Bucks yesterday as a trading partner with the Jazz.

Unless someone in top 11 takes J. Lamb, I'm pretty sure Lillard, Rivers and Marshall would be gone by #12.

Toronto - Lillard at #9
NO - Rivers at #10
Portland - Drummond at #6 and Marshall at #11

So sadly I don't see us trading for #12 unless someone unexpectedly takes J. Lamb within the top 11.
