Twitter feeds leading up to the draft

His per36 numbers are pretty good and he fits their team really well. At 18 there aren't going to be many SG's left besides Evan Fournier, but he can't shoot and isn't really athletic.

I thought about that after I posted this. After hearing how 'deep' this draft is, I was assuming they could get someone at 18. I am just interested in what Hou is going to do with these picks.

The thing that I like about all of this is that Houston, if they lose out on the Dwight Sweepstakes, will have a load of picks that they will not know what to do with. Suddenly KOC can swoop in and offer Jefferson and other assets and try and get something from the Rockets. KOC might just be playing this perfectly. Just like he did with the Melo situation.

He would be a starter for Wolves - no question about that...

... but he had trouble finding starter minutes for HOU last season playing behind the rookie Parsons no less...

I don't know the numbers, I'm sure Locke will come out with some today, but I'm assuming players picked at #18 have about a 10% chance of even cracking a rotation.

I would find it funny if this yields no fruit for Houston. Since Morey has been there all he's done is acquire a bunch of mediocre assets with the hope of one day converting them into a star.

He had some misfortune, but he makes sound decisions while being aggressive. IMO that's very admirable.

I know but this is a loaded draft. Players are slipping off the board left, right and centre. At around #18 you could still have Royce White, Fab Melo, Sullinger, PJIII, J. Lamb left on the board depending on which mocks you're reading...

I know where Kahnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn is coming from but surely we have something we could offer them for #18 as well?!?! C'mon KOC...

We need a wing. That was to be our pick. If we just traded the 18th pick in THIS draft for chase how excited would everyone be? I'd be pissed.

If the Kings get the #14 and #16 and Patterson for the #5 then again there is a great opportunity for the Jazz to approach the Kings and get one of those two picks. I think this is coming together perfectly for KOC.

Be patient Hotttnickkk.

Totally agree. If he were the GM of say Philly, I probably wouldn't relish as much his misfortune, but given he's with Houston, I can't help but see the humor.

LOL.. I'm trying to, but it's wearing very very thin!!!

I'd love for us to get in the first round.. I give it a 10 percent or less chance though. we just don't do those types of trades. If koc does pull it off then I think he will forever bury that rep with the Jerry Sloan era. In a few days we will know.

Maybe it is a higher percentage:

Trade story add: Dwight obviously Rockets' dream target but sources say they'll pursue Atlanta's Josh Smith (and others) if ORL won't budge

Wow

I have no idea why the Wolves didn't go out on a limb, and try to strike gold with Quincy miller. Instead, they trade great pick for a serviceable starter at-best. Budinger was benched for parsons a bunch last season. Plus, I'm pretty sure he shot 0/7 from three when he played the Jazz last. Stupid Kahn

Not stupid Kahn, this is Adelman's move. Stupid Adelman for making Kahn calm and quiet.

Also, Josh Smith will be gone from Atl, and Atl could use 4 1st rounders (3 from Hou and their own) to rebuild, but I don't see Houston targeting Smith. I still think Smith will end up in Por or GS.

Miller doesn't fit the Wolves. He isn't athletic, he isn't a great shooter, his best work is in the post. Budinger gives them shooting and running the court. Parsons was a great rookie and was more of a true SF, which is what the Rockets lacked. Budinger is more of a SG, which is what the Wolves need.

Sources say Houston has an offer of Lowry, the #14 and #16 picks for Tyreke Evans and the #5 pick on the table. Up to Sacramento to decide.

Tough call... depends who fall to #14 and #16
