Ty's Coaching

I think if we had better players Corbin would look really good to the same people that hate him as coach.

Maybe..... but would he play better players of he had them.

Burks > josh howard, raja bell, randy foye, and cj miles imo

Corbin is not as bad as poster here seem to think. .

This may be true. Should we be satisfies and not be critical of a coah that "not so bad" though?
I would prefer a good coach over a not so bad coach

What do you specifically see that tells you Corbin is an okay coach?

Whats funny is thay triangle man never even said that ty is a good coach... he just thinks that ty is not as bad as we think he is.

So instead of terrible and one of the worst in the nba, ty is probably only bottom 10 really so we shouldnt criticize

Ty is an excellent player development coach, obviously. If that was the measuring stick the last two seasons then he would be re-signed today. I think it's the questions surrounding his defensive cohesion that will eventually be his demise. However, last night at half time, he made some great defensive adjustments that got them back into the game. He's very competent X's & O's coach.

He's also outperformed every season so far. People are quick to forget that.

Agree to disagree on this.

Maybe in five years corbin will he one of the better coaches in the league and get lots of credit and i will give you all kinds of credit for your insight.

I doubt it happens though

That is confusion and indecisiveness you are seeing, not thoughtful experiments.

If you were Ty, would you use Hayward in the "indecisive" way he does in strong-side motion offense, or would you use him more the conventional way Popovich uses his forwards?

I'd go the route Ty has with Hayward to try and build him up as a player while getting the team to work together in a system for the future, even though it's not working well now. I get that you're frustrated and impatient with losing now, but I'm [somewhat] enjoying the building steps of this process.

agreed. And I think that's reason enough.

30th in the league is 30th in the league. Hard to argue against that stat, period. (even if fishonjazz agrees to disagree about it :) )

I'm taking my show on the road for a while. This place has gotten boring as ever w/ 90% of the posts being tired anTy cliches that weren't funny the first 1000 times. I hope y'all enjoyed my "antagonistic" posts keeping this place from becoming complete sewage. Enjoy repeating your clever "Ty dress gud", "Ty luv dem vetz"-isms another ten gazillion times in my absence. Catch y'all on the flip side of this season.

It might be enough, especially when that's what DL is judging this season on. Player improvement and Defense. Based on the poor defense I'm not too optimistic that Corbin comes back.

The flip side though is I can't think of many coaches I want coaching here. I'm not really on the Van Gundy bandwagon. I was hoping Hornacek would stick around and take over, but that didn't work out for us.

Corbin has really had to deal with some strange situations each year. While he may not have excelled, he has done a decent job. We may just have to keep a decent coach as there aren't that many Spoelstra's out there.

Take Care Frank...when Ty is fired at the end of the season, please stay away from sharp objects. Peace.
