Anyway, I encourage all people. innocent and not so innocent, to ALWAYS refuse vehicle searches and to always assert your rights at checkpoints.

This guy is a well known checkpoint refuser. They knew who he was. Yet they felt the need to assert their non-existent authority anyway.
